Sarah Palin To Do A 5-Part Interview With Barbara Walters

AP

Dear ABC,
Your decision to air Barbara Waltersfive-part interview with Sarah Palin on Nov. 17 is one of the worst decisions in the history of mankind. Seriously, isn’t showing segments of the interview on “Good Morning America,” ” World News with Charles Gibson,” “Nightline” and “20/20” overdoing it just a little? First, you are shamelessly helping Palin promote her book, Going Rogue: An American Life, by airing the interview the same day it hits bookstore shelves. Second, didn’t you get the memo that Oprah is interviewing her on the 16th? And uh, did you not notice that Sarah can barely formulate an articulate sentence—the result of her stretching her limited mental capacity over hours could be completely disastrous. After numerous embarrassing interviews with big shots like Katie Couric and Brain Williams, it’s clear that Palin is a masochist for coming back for more. Plus, she is neither relevant nor interesting—she isn’t even a governor anymore. She is famous for being a joke. So why give her the publicity!? You don’t know? That’s because there’s no reason! We suggest you reconsider. Please.
Sincerely,
Nikki

Barbara Walters Gives “Bruno” Two Enthusiastic Thumbs Down

Barbara Walters is having a very educational week. Sexually, we mean. Last week Margaret Cho visited “The View” and gave Barbara a lesson on the G-spot. Then, over the weekend, Barbara saw “Bruno” and learned more than she cared to about anal and giving oral sex. I saw “Bruno” this weekend as well and was shocked to see a man in his, I swear, 90’s, sitting front row and center. I was concerned he would have a heart attack. Anyhoo, check out Babs’ disgust in the clip above. [via Jezebel]

Barbara Walters Audiobook Is G-Rated

Barbara Walters

When Barbara Walter’s book Audition came out last month, all anyone could talk about was her relationships with Alan Greenspan and Massachusetts Senator Edward Brooke. The audio book, abridged down to six hours and read by Barbara herself, tells the story of Barbara’s career and married life, but it skips over her relationships with men outside of her three marriages. Maybe Barbara and her people decided that the people who listen to audio books might not be able to handle hearing about such scandals while driving to work on I-90. [Time]

Barbara Walters Got Around In The ‘70s

Barbara Walters

In her new autobiography, Auditions, Barbara Walters discusses a years long affair she had in the 1970’s with Massachusetts Senator Edward Brooke, the first black Senator since reconstruction. Apparently, at one point Brooke told her she was the oldest woman he had ever been with, to which Babs replied, “Oh yeah? Well you are the blackest man I have ever been with.” Brooke was so in love with Walters, that he wanted to divorce his wife, who then tried to ruin both of their careers by trying to sell the story to the tabloids. Eventually the two ended their affair, when they realized that their relationship could ruin both of their careers. Who knew Barbara was so scandalous? [NY Daily News]
