This performance by newlywed Sean Rajaee and his groomsmen is pretty much my favorite wedding video of all time and I cannot stop watching it on repeat. Rajaee secretly choreographed the dance as a surprise for his bride, and lots of the groomsmen lived out of town and had to learn the routine via video at the last second. The group goes through Beyonce, Bruno Mars and even a Persian dance, but it’s Rajaee’s rendition of the “I Want It That Way” that convinces me that this bride chose a total winner as a husband. I mean, look at those moves!
Did you feel a subtle but undeniable shift in the balance of the universe last night? We all did. That’s because approximately 9 hours ago, Backstreet Boy AJ McLean took to Instagram to issue a challenge to the king of undressed selfies, James Franco. He posted the photo above, along with the following message: Keep reading »
Any day that the Backstreet Boys announce a new tour is a great day, but when they announce a North American tour to support one of their best albums ever, with Avril fucking Lavigne as a special guest, well, today just became the best day of my life. As awesome as the Backstreet Boys/New Kids On The Block tour was, my inner child (who is actually my inner teen, forever trapped in 1998, listening to “Complicated” on repeat, wishing she could fit into L.E.I. flare jeans) is way more stoked about this one. Tickets go on sale March 21st, and the tour kicks off in Canada on May 3rd, with the first American stop in Seattle on May 22nd. So far I’m not seeing any dates in Nashville, which is severely disappointing, but I guess that means a road trip to Chicago is in order. Check out the list of US tour dates after the jump! “I can walk in heels. I was a little wobbly at first. I was like a baby calf, but then I figured it out. I don’t see how women walk heel to toe in friggin’ heels, so, for me, I walk toe to heel. It’s weird. I walk like a stork, but at least I’m not falling down.”
– My #1 top favorite Backstreet Boy AJ McLean discusses his penchant for cross-dressing in a weird, wonderful interview with PrideSource. In addition to enlightening us on his high heel walking techniques, AJ discusses his love for the band’s gay fanbase — “If we did a full arena with the LGBT community, I bet you they’d be louder” – and the decision to celebrate marriage equality in the video for their latest single, “In A World Like This.” Another fun tidbit: apparently the only thing holding him back from doing a music video as a drag queen is that famously groomed goatee. “I got a thing with my facial hair,” he says. “I don’t like to shave.” [Oh No They Didn't]
Last month I gave you my second-by-second reaction to the Backstreet Boy’s first single from their new album, In A World Like This. Yesterday, I told you that the whole album, which was released this week, is completely awesome, and wholly unlike any of their previous efforts (I’ve had it on repeat for two full days now). Just in case you’re still not convinced, check out BSB’s performance of their new song “Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of” (written by AJ and Kevin!) on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Their harmonies in the chorus are unreal. As is AJ’s beard. [YouTube via Idolator]
