Last night, yet another stupendous episode of “Bachelor Pad” went down and it became apparent that if you weren’t willing to get busy with a member of the opposite sex, you were going home with empty pockets. Keep reading »

Last night’s episode of “Bachelor Pad” was all about pitting the women of the house against each other and making them feel like dog crap. First, the contestants were all asked to complete a survey about their fellow houseguests — who do they think is the most shallow, the biggest jerk, the dumbest, etc? Then for the rose competition, they had to publicly declare who they thought got the most votes per question from the house as a whole — not necessarily who they individually thought was, say, the dumbest, but who they thought the house thought was the dumbest. Let’s just say a lot of the women ended up in tears. Keep reading »

Last night’s episode of “Bachelor Pad” should have been called “The One Where They Try and Give Each Other Mono.” See, this week’s big competition was a kissing contest — every Bach and Bachelorette had a turn at being blindfolded, as the opposite sex took turns kissing them with as much gusto and tongue as they could muster. Then the blindfolded one would vote on which person was the best kisser and so on. Basically, ABC is not even trying to stand in the way of these dorks sharing bodily fluids. Do they at least test them for herpes? Keep reading »

Never underestimate the potential for someone to change your mind. That is the lesson I learned from last night’s “Bachelor Pad,” in which I finally came to love and root for The Weatherman. Keep reading »

Are Juan And Michelle From “Bachelor Pad” Really A Couple?

We’ve barely learned everyone’s name, and already there are couples emerging from the sexual summer camp that is “Bachelor Pad.” As we all remember, serial killer Michelle Kujawa and slimeball Juan Barbieri were voted out of the pad on Monday night. Well, don’t bother feeling sorry for them because … surprise! They’re a couple now. Keep reading »

“Bachelor Pad”: Who’s Doing What With Whom In Episode 1

Guess who has a new favorite Monday night trash TV show? “Bachelor Pad” debuted last night and was everything I could have hoped for and more. The premise: 19 former contestants on ABC’s “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” series, living in a house together, having their lives taped, to find out what happens when people stop trying to fall in love and instead focus on winning money. Greed! Hookups! Tears! The lowdown on what happened in the first episode after the jump …

“Bachelor Pad” Looks Trash-tastic

There’s nothing as relaxing as kicking back on a Monday night and letting the mindless optimism of “The Bachelorette” wash over you. I’d gotten so used to Monday nights with Ali and Roberto, and was a little worried about going through withdrawal now that the show is over. But luckily, I won’t have to. This Monday brings the premiere of a brand-new show, “Bachelor Pad,” which is kind of like “The Bachelor” meets “The Real World.” Meaning, it’s way trashier. The concept: your favorite and most hated contestants live together in a house to compete for love and money. Hookups and back-stabbings abound. Sounds like television gold to me. Will you be watching? I’m pretty sure Amelia will be. Keep reading »

“Bachelor Pad” Is “The Real World” Meets “The Bachelorette”

I’m still not exactly sure how ABC milks the not-all-that-much-that-happens in a week on “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” and makes it into a two-hour episode. But they do—and it’s highly entertaining. So what would happen if the network rounded up some of the top personalities from all the seasons of the show and had them live together in a house, “Real World”-style, to find out what happens when they stop being polite and start getting lovey-dovey? Hopefully, television magic because our Amelia is already pissing her pants with excitement, as this is the concept of the new series “Bachelor Pad.” The show started filming this week and will go for the next 15 days. It’s hosted by, duh, Chris Harrison along with Melissa Rycroft, who became one of the show’s most-beloved contestants when Jason Mesnick ditched her on national TV in favor of runner-up Molly. In addition to the chance to find love with a fellow cast-off, the contestants in the series will also be participating in assorted challenges. The winner of the show will get $250,000. [People]

The series doesn’t premiere until August 8, but already several sites have posted partial casts lists. Read on if you’d like to know who is on them. Keep reading »
