The prop and costume closets have been raided for your pleasure. Bid on such items as Smash’s jersey ($157.50), Coach Taylor’s East Dillon Lions jacket ($405 — pictured above), Lyla Garrity’s shirt ($45), Tim Riggins’ hood ($430) and more. All proceeds will go toward funding sports programs for underprivileged youth. What a lovely idea. But if they really wanted to raise some money, they’d be auctioning off a vial of Riggins’ sperm. The student-designed dress is said to be the magical garment that shifted Prince William’s relationship with Middleton from strictly “platonic to romantic.” And it’s hard not to see why: The mesh dress shows off all of Middleton’s, um, appreciable assets. Beginning last night and going through the 22nd, furniture, props, and three iconic dresses worn on the show — including the green dress Joan wore in the infamous lawnmower episode — are up for auction on eBay. The 10-day celebrity auction will benefit the Lung Cancer Program and the City of Hope. “This auction offers Mad Men fans an exciting new way to connect with the series while helping to support City of Hope’s important work in research and treatment of lung cancer,” said Sandra Stern, the COO of TV for the show’s producer, Lionsgate. While it usually takes a healthy dose of schadenfreude (pleasure derived from the pain of others) to get through my day, there’s something super depressing about the fact that Teresa Giudice of the “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” has had to put her worldly possessions up for auction. Sure, she and her husband did it to themselves by accumulating nearly $9 million in debt. But it’s still kind of heart-breaking when even their wedding bands have been taken from them. Their attorney says that Teresa isn’t pleased that her life has been put on display for the public, which is weird since she seems pretty happy about being on reality television.
