Britney Spears Grabs The Twitter Crown From Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher‘s reign as the King of Twitter has ended—he has been surpassed by Britney Spears as the person with the most followers. She now has 4,963,539 followers to his 4,951,645. Kutcher has already Tweeted the he doesn’t care about losing the top spot, but the milestone has caused some controversy in the Twitter-verse. See, many users still see Kutcher as top dog of the social networking site. He was the first to gain over a million followers and showed other celebs that it is OK to share pointless personal information online. Spears’ account, on the other hand, is mostly run by her team of managers with a good percentage of the tweets being promotional, impersonal plugs for her tours and merchandise. When compared to Kutcher’s online musings, Spears’ feed looks pretty stale. [People]

Regardless, she has won this battle. So we decided to look over Spears’ time with Twitter and pull out 10 of the best tweets from all the managerial mumbo jumbo. Keep reading »

Ashton Kutcher Is Ready To Slip Natalie Portman The Tongue

Don’t worry — Ashton hasn’t left Demi Moore for a younger woman. He and Natalie Portman are just filming a scene for their movie “Friends With Benefits.” Closeups of people kissing make me feel weird. [Marina del Rey, CA, 5/14/10] Keep reading »

Quotable: Demi Moore Fell For Ashton “Right Away”

“I knew it had the potential to be something special right away. It was like meeting somebody that I’ve just known where you just recognize one another. It was so disproportionate, the level of emotion we were experiencing to the time we had spent together. When you don’t know someone, you can’t just jump and say, ‘I love you.’ ‘Nice to meet you, I love you!’ Yeah. No. We used to end our calls or emails with ‘And everything we don’t say.’”

Quotable: Ashton Kutcher Thinks V-Day Should Be About Hate Not Love

“I hate Valentine’s Day. I think every day should be a day of romance. Then, on Valentine’s Day, you should get to tell whoever you hate that you cannot stand them. There would be one day of hating, and 364 days of love.”

Ashton Kutcher, one of the stars in the movie “Valentine’s Day,” on the holiday it’s named after. Maybe he should check out our “Valentine’s Day Survival Guide“? [People] Keep reading »

Demi Moore Does W

Did 47-year-old Demi Moore make some kind of pact with the Devil, and that’s why she looks so hot on the cover of the December issue of W? Maybe. I think it’s the yoga. Our fashion editor Erin thinks Photoshop hath tweaked her. Perhaps it’s both. Regardless, Mrs. Ashton Kutcher says getting work in Hollywood at her age isn’t easy, no matter how famous she is. “The frustrating part is that the type of roles I’d be interested in are not really coming to me,” reveals Moore. “I hate to say it’s a function of my age — but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35.” More pics after the jump! Keep reading »

Why Is Ashton Kutcher Starring In A Lifetime Movie?

Last night, while catching up on my television watching for the week, I witnessed a very strange commercial. It was for a Lifetime Original Movie called “Personal Effects,” starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kathy Bates. And Ashton Kutcher? As much as I love those first two stars and wish Hollywood would make more big-deal roles for actresses of their ilk, I could understand how they’d end up in a Lifetime movie—heck, it’s not like the phones are ringing off the hook. But Ashton Kutcher? With the exception of those annoying camera commercials he’s been doing lately, his career is alive and kicking. Not to mention the fact that he’s one-half of one of Hollywood’s most A-list couples. How could he do a made-for-TV movie?

This morning, doing a little research on the movie, I get it. Lifetime was by no means the original plan for this movie. “Personal Effects” was supposed to be a major release, with Oscar-bait written all over it. Here’s what happened. Keep reading »
