Ashton Kutcher, who has focused his charity work with Demi Moore on stopping child sex trafficking, tweeted support for Joe Paterno, the Penn State coach who was fired ~~for covering up~~ after being heavily criticized for not doing more to bring allegations of sexual abuse by former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky to the attention of authorities. Ashton Kutcher has upgraded his defense by dappling in a new medium: check out his video (watch it here) treatise on the evolving nature of truth in publishing. Sounding a smidge like he’s addressing a Philosophy 101 class, he says:

“I just wanted to open up a little dialogue on the state of honesty. The state of truth. The status of truth as it pertains to literature and media… Publishers (once) held great scrutiny over what they were willing to print because their reputation was on the line. When the cost structure comes down on printing… the level of honesty of literature starts to plummet… I started thinking about that in relation to media and social media today where the threshold to actually have literature printed and distributed… is zero dollars… thereby there is no gatekeeper of the truth…We are our own editors, we are our own publishers and we are our own printers. Therefore, people can bastardize the truth in any way, shape or form that they want and spread that around the world…”

Demi Moore has some competition. No, not Sara Leal, the chick Ashton Kutcher supposedly slept with. I’m talking about Ashton’s biggest fan, a young lady from Brazil with a fresh tattoo in tribute to her favorite celebrity. “Ashton Kutcher I love you, love is forever fan love you” is tattooed on her back and she tweeted the above photo of her ink at the “Two and a Half Men” star, writing, ”This is a way of expressing my love for @aplusk.” Ashton’s response? “All I can say is wow.” I suspect he had much more to say to his lawyer when he called him about getting a restraining order. (I kid, but seriously, Ashton, you might want to consider it.) At least he didn’t point out that the sentiment doesn’t even make complete sense; after all, it’s too late for that now. Keep reading »

I lovvvvve a good blind item and this, while not-so-blind in my opinion, is a juicy one. Who knows if what it implies is true, but if it is, dayum. Ahem:

This married actor had a one-night stand with one of his exes, who is an actress in an acclaimed television show. She wound up pregnant. The actor’s wife found out about the baby, and, to no one’s surprise, went completely ballistic.

Both the actor and his wife tried every tactic (money, lawyers, threats to ruin her career) to convince the ex to terminate the pregnancy. Despite enormous pressure from all sides, the ex decided to keep the baby. The actor’s marriage is now on the rocks. We’re not sure how long everyone can remain tight-lipped about this one. It will be difficult to keep such a bombshell out of divorce proceedings, which will likely occur before the New Year. Keep reading »

Us Weekly is trying sooo hard to make its video of Sara Leal — the woman who slept with Ashton Kutcher — seem classy. Nope, sorry! Panning over Sara Leal while tinkly music plays as she says things like “If I had known he was happily married, none of this ever would have happened!” is just gross. Sara Leal may well have sincerely believed Ashton and Demi Moore were separated, like he allegedly told her, but a video explanation of their night together is too gratuitous. The tabloids have been rife with rumors of Ashton Kutcher having an affair with a younger woman — maybe two. According to reports, Kutcher partied his booty off at a San Diego tech convention, getting down and dirty with two women, the weekend he and wife Demi Moore celebrated (or perhaps didn’tcelebrate) their sixth wedding anniversary.

So far Demi and Ashton haven’t commented, but if the rumors are true, none of us are probably terribly surprised. After all, celebrity marriages crumble all the time. But what does surprise me — though of course it shouldn’t — is the way the media is portraying a possible split as inevitable because Moore is older than Kutcher. She is 48. He is 33.
