In Allure‘s Naked Truth feature—which I swear Harper’s Bazaar does, too?—they ask celebrities to strip down for a nude photo shoot and talk about how they feel about their bodies. In the past, the magazine has gotten Padma Lakshmi, Eliza Dushku, Chelsea Handler, and Kara DioGuardi to pose. This year’s spread has some fun choices—Keri Hilson, Bridget Moynahan, and Kaley Cuoco. But the one getting the most attention is Ashley Tisdale of “Hellcats.” Why? Probably because we think of her as underage, thanks to “High School Musical,” when she’s actually 25. The Hellcats Address The Lack Of Cheerleaders At The Super Bowl

Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka of The CW series “Hellcats” were very concerned at yesterday’s revelation that there will be no cheerleaders at this Sunday’s Super Bowl game for the first time in 45 years, since neither the Green Bay Packers nor the Pittsburgh Steelers have them. Matt Barr Almost Broke Ashley Tisdale’s Nose Filming “Hellcats”

“I almost broke Ashley Tisdale‘s nose during one scene. We had to go to the ER and she had to have a specialist look at it. For real! She was bleeding and everything. The consensus is, we’re never letting Matt Barr dance anymore.”

—Matt Barr, aka Dan Patch of “Hellcats,” dishes on an unfortunate incident that happened during the filming of last night’s episode, where the cast ballroom dances in a dream sequence. Matt usually doesn’t have to do choreography on the show, since he plays a non-cheerleader, and that’s probably safer for everyone. “Savannah has like a Southern flair. She comes from a wealthy family. She is always in little floral outfits. [As for my hair], I went dark a year ago for my music. I am naturally brunette. I went blonde for Disney, so I wanted to go back. I went back to blonde for something else and, actually, for this they were like, ‘Somebody has to go brunette.’ I said, ‘I will. Please!’ I love being brunette. It is so much easier. … I wigged it [for 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure].’”

“Hellcats” Debrief: We Are Loving The Tiz

A funny thing happened while watching last night’s premiere of “Hellcats,” the new TV show based on my book Cheer!: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders. Yes, I got a little giddy seeing my name flash onscreen in the opening sequence. Yes, I found my hips shaking during the cheer scenes and Aly Michalka’s awesome “Flashdance”-esque dance round the living room. And, yes, I totally got chills in the final scene where the squad saunters toward the entrance of a cheer competition. But I was surprised at just how much I loved Ashley Tisdale in the episode.

What Do You Wear To The Gym?

I spy Miss Ashley Tisdale headed to (or is she coming from?) the gym! And despite the oh-I-just-threw-this-on-ness of her gym duds, methinks those baggy sweats and sneaks are actually some sort of pricey, fancy-pants gymwear in the same vein as that Stella McCartney stuff for Adidas. Next time you’re at the gym, take a look around. There are two very obviously different camps when it comes to what to wear when working out. There’s the I-buy-fancy-workout-clothes and the I-could-care-less-I’m-at-the-gym-—and the arguments make sense for each. Some people (myself included) find it incredibly hard to shell out 100-plus dollars for a pair of pants to wear to the sweaty old gym and opt, instead, for ratty t-shirts and tattered pairs of shorts from back in the day. Others find that their gym attire actually motivates them to get working out harder (no one likes to see pudge sticking out from your too-tight yet very expensive spandex top), and so the ends justify the purchase price.
