What Beautiful “Imperfections” Set You Apart?

Every time I see a photo of Anna Paquin (which, due to the massive popularity of “True Blood,” happens about every 30 seconds), I am thankful for that gap in her teeth. She is a conventionally beautiful woman, yes, but that little “imperfection” sets her apart from the sea of similar faces gracing magazine covers today. As I’ve mentioned before, society’s definition of beauty is so narrow and boring. The features that fall outside of that definition are usually labeled flaws, when in fact, like Anna Paquin’s smile, they set each of us apart and should be celebrated. I’ve noticed that the things that got us teased in elementary school–whether it be our height, weight, frizzy hair, scars, freckles, or less-than-dainty ankles–often become our favorite features in adulthood. We grow up and realize that these are the things make us who we are. So tell us: what’s your favorite “imperfection”? What “flaws” do you admire in yourself and others? Keep reading »

Anna Paquin Is Totally Comfortable With Her Bisexuality

“My sexuality is something I’m completely comfortable with and open about. There’s a lot of prejudice toward us but the more people talk about it, the less of a big deal it will be. And that will be better for everyone.”

Anna Paquin discusses her bisexuality with V magazine. I would love to hear her talk a little more in depth about the prejudice bisexuals face from straight-identified people as well as members of the gay community because I think it often gets overlooked when discussing LGBTQ issues. Anna Paquin Talks Sex Scenes, Watching Fans Fawn Over Stephen Moyer

“Maybe it should be weird, simulating sex with your husband in front of people. But it’s really not. When it’s a love scene with someone you actually love it’s not, ‘Can I touch him here, can I touch him there?’ You know what your boundaries are, or aren’t I suppose … There is probably something wrong with me, but I find it amusing to watch these men and women fawn all over him. It’s not like anyone is really trying to do anything inappropriate. They just him to hug them … or bite them.”

Anna Paquin of “True Blood” talks in the new issue of V Magazine about how easy it is to film sex scenes with her co-star and hubby Stephen Moyer. Oh, and she confirms that she is in fact down with him biting fans’ necks. Apparently, she thinks it’s hot. To each their own. [The Improper] Keep reading »

“True Blood” Gothic

This just might be my favorite Entertainment Weekly cover ever. Since Sunday night brings the “True Blood” season four premiere, EW has issued three covers featuring Anna Paquin posing “American Gothic”-style alongside Alexander Skarsgard, Joe Maganeillo, and her real-life husband Stephen Moyer. My fave is this Alexander one, because both of them have such perfect expressions. My least favorite has to be the Joe version, which you can check out after the jump. In real life, Alcide is the character I lust after the most—just not in those overalls. But nevermind what I think, pick your favorite after the jump. Keep reading »

Anna Paquin Is All Good With Stephen Moyer Biting Fans’ Necks, Boobs

“I get to sign boobs a lot. I get to bite boobs, occasionally, when I’m allowed. If my missus is there and she approves of the person I get to bite boobs … and necks.”

Stephen Moyer of “True Blood” talks to Men’s Health about his workout regime, his wife/co-star Anna Paquin, and how she doesn’t mind him getting randy with fans as long as he gets permission. Hmmmm … I don’t know how I’d feel about watching my significant other bite someone’s boobs, even if it were in character. I mean, maybe a handshake instead? A hug? What do you think—would this bother you? [Men’s Health]

Anna’s Dazed & Confused Cover Brings On The Perma-Grin

Is it just us, or does Anna Paquin look kind of creepy on the January cover of Dazed & Confused? Oh wait, Terry Richardson shot it. That might have something to do with it. [StyleBistro] Keep reading »
