Good question! Allow me to explain. This foursome—some chick who was not credited in the photo notes, Anna Paquin, Jeremy Strong, and Katie Holmes—are part of the cast of “The Romantics,” a movie currently shooting in Long Island. This is of interest because I am reading the book, The Romantics by Galt Niederhoffer (which I bought simply because I loved the cover), and it’s totally awesome, so I’m psyched they’re making a movie, even if Mrs. Tom Cruise is in it. (She’ll be balanced out by Adam Brody, who is hot and also in the movie along with Malin Ackerman, Elijah Wood, and Josh Duhamel.) The story “revolves around eight friends from college who reunite for a wedding. Holmes plays Laura, the maid of honor to Paquin’s Lila, the bride. Laura and Lila are best friends who both have a past with the groom (Duhamel).” Lila, FYI, is kind of an entitled bitch, which makes this tale even juicier. Sweet vampire plaything Anna Paquin and her on-and-off-screen lovah, Stephen Moyer, did an interview for the September issue of Nylon. As a huge fan of “True Blood,” I got super pumped when I saw the cover, which features Anna looking gorgeous though slightly off-kilter. But I got even more excited when Anna started talking about nudity, going blonde and, of course, vampires. After the jump, some of my fave quotes.

Yesterday The New York Post ran a profile on Stephen Moyer, who plays vampire Bill Compton on “True Blood.” According to Defamer, the paper failed to note that the interviewer, Lorien Haynes, is, uh, Moyer’s ex-girlfriend and baby mama. In a recent issue of Star, Haynes was revealed as Moyer’s ex and mother to his daughter Lilac in a piece titled, “‘True Blood’s Secret Love Triangle.” It quotes Moyer saying of their breakup, “Nobody has left anybody for anybody else.” Considering Moyer and his co-star Anna Paquin have made no attempt to hide the fact that sparks flew the moment they met on set, who knows how true that statement really is.

So while it’s majorly odd that Haynes profiled her ex for a story—and didn’t mention their relationship—it’s even weirder that she also interviewed Paquin for a story which ran in the Daily Mail U.K. yesterday as well. Seriously, why is Haynes on the permanent “True Blood” beat? Isn’t this a conflict of interest and also a wee bit psycho? [Defamer]

• Anna Paquin, who plays Sookie Stackhouse on “True Blood,” says her steamy nude scenes are easier because she’s acting opposite her real boyfriend Stephen Moyer, who plays vampire Bill Compton. [People]—I’m sure a lot of things are easier with Stephen around.

In an interview with People, hunky “True Blood” vampire Stephen Moyer said that he and his girlfriend/co-star, Anna Paquin, box together for fun. “I like the sport and she likes the blood,” he said. Apparently, Anna can hold her own in the ring. “She won’t stop until she’s gnawed your stumps off. I tell you, my girl is hardcore,” said Moyer. [People]

Wow, this is a little weird. We wonder if these two are confusing their real relationship with their “True Blood” romance? Either way, they are not the only couple that has strange, vaguely kinky, relationship rituals. After the jump, a few other couple with strange habits.

Last night, the second season of “True Blood” premiered and I could not have been more excited. I find it to be one of the sexiest shows on television, a true guilty pleasure, and the over-the-top acting and ridiculous plot lines make it even more sinfully delicious. And the center of the show are the characters of Sookie Stackhouse and vampire Bill Compton, portrayed by real life couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. The two met and fell in love on the set, a fact which has injected a real, tangible heat to many of their scenes. For some this is not entirely enjoyable.

“True Blood” is finally back, y’all and I have to say it’s been a looong six months. I re-watched most of season one recently, which didn’t help my desire to see my favorite vampire and waitress steam up the small screen. So I decided to read the first Sookie Stackhouse novel Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris, but that didn’t help either. I feel sorry for anyone who is a fan of this show, but hasn’t read the books because they’re much more sexual and Bill Compton is more carnal. If you thought the f**k fest in the dirt from season one was stimulating, you haven’t read anything yet. Sookie and Bill have way more sex scenes in the novels, and when I read Bill saying, “May I enter you?” and the time when they climaxed together when he bit her…Woo! I thought I was right there. (And yes, both of my hands are on my keyboard.) My sex life is virtually non-existent right now. So I figure I can read the novels during the week to hold me over until Sunday when new “True Blood” episodes air on HBO at 9 pm. And for those of you that haven’t watched or read about Sookie and Bill’s relationship, please realize it’s not all about sex, but is a great story too.

In the latest issue of New York, Emma Rosenblum describes a scene from the new season of “True Blood” (which premieres this Sunday):

“Bill, the brooding village vampire, beds Sookie, his mortal girlfriend, after they’ve had an argument. It’s steamy stuff—makeup sex is still makeup sex, even when one party isn’t technically living. Mid-act, Bill bites Sookie’s neck with his fangs in an orgasmic frenzy, then kisses her, smearing her own red blood down her cheeks and onto her lips.”

Anna Paquin has been steaming up the small screen with her role as Sookie Stackhouse on HBO’s “True Blood”. But we realized we know very little about this actress, except that she starred opposite Holly Hunter in “The Piano” at age nine and took on the role of Rogue in the “X-Men” franchise as a teen. That’s quite an expanse of time and we knew she had to have been up to something. You know, keeping her name out there. “True Blood” is my favorite new series this TV season. I love the show so much that I actually watch each episode twice—once when it airs on Sunday at 9 pm and again on HBO On Demand in the middle of the week, just to hold me over until the next Sunday. Much of the hype leading up to HBO’s Trueblood focused on how hot it would be to get freaky with a vampire, which, judging from last night’s premiere episode, is a goal of main character Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). But vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) is not the only hottie on this new show. If you combine the wise, mature and dangerous Compton with concerned boss-with-a-crush Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell), and bad boy sex fiend Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), you’d have the perfect man. On their own, these characters equal up to little more than a one night regret, but together they offer everything a girl could want. You’d get advice from Compton because he’s been around for centuries. Merlotte would provide romance and protection for your best damsel in distress act. And your relationship with Stackhouse, who already has a reputation in the small town of Bon Temps, would be purely physical because he doesn’t seem too bright.
