Jennifer Aniston is putting her full-time job of possibly being pregnant, definitely being sad and alone to make an Oscar bid with “Cake.” Aniston plays a woman suffering from chronic pain who keeps seeing the ghost of a woman (Anna Kendrick) from her support group who committed suicide. It’s obviously a dark drama with comedic moments, but I think the funniest moment of the trailer might have been heralding the hundred Academy Award nominees in the cast followed by little old nominee-less Sam Worthington. Do you think he feels left out? Read more on College Candy…
EW.com released a clip of the upcoming film version of the off-Broadway musical “The Last 5 Years,” starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan [Alas, not this Jeremy Jordan, I was sad to discover. — Amelia], and I’m kind of melting over it. The musical follows the five-year relationship of young NYC couple Jamie and Cathy from two different timelines. Cathy begins her songs at the end of their relationship and Jamie begins from the start, and their two story lines only come together once, in the middle of the production, when he proposes to her. It’s less complicated than it sounds (according to Anna Kendrick, it will look like a series of easy-to-follow vignettes). Keep reading »
The first trailer for “Into The Woods” is here, and it gives us pretty much nothing to work with. There’s no singing, which is a little odd considering that this movie is supposed to be a musical. There’s also no Johnny Depp, and about three seconds worth of words. Not impressed so far. I’m already disappointed enough that this movie has been Disneyfied — in its onstage life, “Into The Woods” was always meant to be a fairytale for adults with some not-so-pleasant themes. Since Meryl Streep, Chris Pine, and Anna Kendrick are in the kickass cast, I’m still holding out hope that this movie will be salvageable. Disney, don’t let me down! [DListed]
A-ca-huddle, now! The Barden Bellas — that’s Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow in the center — were spotted filming “Pitch Perfect 2″ in Baton Rouge today, looking ready to slay a sing-off. Gah, can’t wait for this movie to come out! [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
Hollywood has a problem: a bunch of hot, young celebrities are running around and not making hot offspring with each other. This is why we’ve complied a list of sexy stars who should totally hook up and have babies. It’s not Mindy Kaling‘s fault that she hasn’t had beautiful kids with Liam Hemsworth yet. No one has pointed out the possibility … until now. See which other famous pairs would make the world a more aesthetically gratifying place by procreating.
I would like to first take this opportunity to shout out all the celebs who make Style Stealers easy for me to accomplish. It so rarely happens that an outfit I think seems easy to replicate for less actually turns out to be easy to replicate. In fact, those outfits I am the most sure will be simple to steal are often the ones I find myself spending three hours on. But when celebs like Anna Kendrick, above, wear an outfit composed of at least one affordable item currently available in stores, my job is really, legitimately made easier. To Anna and those like her, thank you for having style that is genuinely attainable. Find out how to get Anna’s look, including her rad Topshop skater dress, after the jump! Keep reading »
