Out promoting “The Amazing Spider-Man,” Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield cover the August issue of Teen Vogue.
Andrew Garfield’s first impression of Emma Stone:
“It was like I woke up when she came in. She was the last person to screen-test, and I was so bored of it by then that I was mucking about—I’d been pretending I was Tom Hanks or Seth Rogen. And then she came in, and it was like diving into white-water rapids and having no desire to hang on to the side. Throughout shooting, it was wild and exciting. I couldn’t help but try to stay with her, keep pace with her, and not let her get away. [Laughs] Like an animal preying on a smaller animal, but a wily smaller animal.”

I don’t know about you, but I love Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as a couple. “The Amazing Spider-man” stars are so low-key and cool. If they were walking in front of me, holding hands, I wouldn’t even be annoyed that they were blocking the sidewalk with their display of love. [Photo: Bauer-Griffin]
Also, Emma is put on the spot when asked who is the better kisser – Ryan Gosling or Andrew Garfield? The entire episode airs today! See the clip here!
Emma Stone is everywhere these days, and we’re not talking about the big movies she’s starring in — if you believe the rumors! Sources say that she has hooked up with “Amazing Spider-Man” co-star Andrew Garfield, while another claims she’s with “Crazy, Stupid Love” romantic interest Ryan Gosling! Read more…

It feels like “The Amazing Spider-Man,” the reboot of the classic comic tale starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, was cast like five minutes ago. But already, we have the first trailer for the flick, which deals with Spider-Man as a boy and teenager. According to this mythology, he’s bitten by the radioactive spider while visiting his crush, Gwen Stacey, at the science lab where she works. A few notes: (A) Emma looks amazeballs with blonde hair and bangs. (B) Wait, that isn’t a science lab—that’s Hearst Tower in New York City. And (C) did they take a page from “Friday Night Lights” and get Explosions in the Sky to do music for the trailer? I can’t quite tell. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »
Andrew Garfield slipped out of his Spidey suit and into his swimsuit yesterday in Hawaii to tan his pale bones with “Tron: Legacy” star Garrett Hedlund.
The two young studs hit the beach in Maui while on their downtime from the Maui Film Festival — where Garfield, 27, and Hedlund, 26, are both being honored with awards.
Hedlund will receive the Rising Star Award tonight while Garfield will get the Shining Star Award tomorrow. No clue what the distinction between the two awards is. Garfield will next be seen in the “Spider-Man” reboot while Hedlund will star opposite Kristen Stewart in “On the Road.”

“I’ve always kind of baulked at the concept of ‘the game.’ You have all these automaton men going into bars saying the same lines, kind of half-insulting a girl in the hope they’re going to sleep with them. It’s just so inappropriate and crass and it takes all the romance and mystery out of courtship and out of meeting someone and just sparking something. I always just like to leave that stuff up to chance.”
– Andrew Garfield explains why he’s not the type of guy to use pick-up lines on strangers in bars. Oh, Andrew, I don’t mind. Really, I don’t. [Yahoo!] Keep reading »
