Celebs have descended on New York Fashion Week in droves, and are busy populating the front row at every major designer’s show. Often, the designer will prod a famous lady into showing up by giving her clothing to wear — if not to keep, then at least to be photographed in. Which is largely why so many of these ladies look so frickin’ incredible as the models pass them by. Today, we’ve got images of (from left to right) Emily Mortimer, Alicia Keys, Jessica Pare and Maria Sharapova, who all appear perfectly turned out Jason Wu’s fashion show. All the women are wearing Wu, but which look do you like best?
Last night, a whole mess of iconic musicians got together for the epic “12-12-12″ Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert, which aired on a number of different TV networks and lasted nearly six hours. While the show was definitely lacking in female performers — where were New York City legends like Patti Smith or Bette Midler?! — it was chock full of big name acts like Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys (holdin’ it down for the ladies), Kanye West (wearing a controversial leather skirt), Paul McCartney, the remaining members of Nirvana, Billy Joel, and The Who. I couldn’t clip the whole show, obviously, but here are seven performances that I especially enjoyed!
I must be ovulating because I cannot stop downloading photos of celebrity babies today! But more importantly, I must take this opportunity to publicly apologize to Egypt, Alicia Keys’ son, for not recognizing his incredible adorableness earlier. But better late than never, right? What a handsome, sweet little gentleman he is. Welcome to the Celeb Babies I Love Club, Egypt — Abel Arnett (pictured below, in photos I also downloaded in my baby-craving frenzy today) will put your membership materials in the mail ASAP.
Alicia Keys, you are generally really cute. And you can sing really well! But that doesn’t mean you should wander around the Paris Chanel show – which is basically like Oz for fashion people — with weird head jewelry on.
“[Married life is] so fly. There’s something great about feeling at peace and ease with your partner and knowing you understand each other. I really enjoy that friendship. There are so many similarities between us, it’s just mind-blowing. It’s really cool to have met my equal.”
—Alicia Keys talks to People about her first year as a married woman on the eve of her anniversary with rapper Swizz Beatz. With all the sitcoms and commercials telling me that marriage is the pits, it’s so refreshing to hear someone talk about it with excitement and wonder. Thanks Alicia! [People] Keep reading »
So, apparently, Jennifer Aniston didn’t love our idea for her to direct an all female version of “The Three Amigos” starring herself, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow. Looks like she wanted something more meaty and heartfelt for her directorial debut. She has signed on for “Project Five,” a Lifetime project that will meld together five short films about different breast cancer survivors. And Jennifer won’t be the only famous director—Demi Moore and Alicia Keys will also be stepping behind the camera for the cause. Keep reading »
