Old-School Wednesdays: Aerosmith’s “Cryin’”

In this classic video for Aerosmith’s 1994 hit “Cryin’,” Alicia Silverstone is having a bad day. Her boyfriend, baby Stephen Dorff, cheats on her, her car breaks down, and a hot dude tries to steal all her stuff. So she does what any fed-up lady would — and goes “over the edge” to piss her ex-boyfriend off. Watch for the pre-”Clueless” Silverstone, and for the miles and miles of plaid flannel sported in this video. So good. [YouTube] Keep reading »

Quotable: Alicia Silverstone Wants To Get Preggers

“Wearing a pregnancy suit was so much fun. I loved the feeling of pretending to be pregnant and having little arms and legs and this big belly. I’ve been wanting to have a baby since I was 2 years old—I’m destined to be a mother. I can’t wait to be pregnant.”

“Clueless” Dynamic Duo Alicia Silverstone And Amy Heckerling Team Up For “Vamps”

After oodles of Dracula adaptations, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Twilight,” “True Blood,” “Daywalkers,” and “The Vampire’s Assistant,” I thought I’d let out a blood-curdling scream if I heard about another vampire movie. But amazingly there’s a new entry in the bloodsuckers category that I’m pretty excited about. The flick is called “Vamps,” and it starts filming in April. What’s so buzzworthy about it? It will be directed by Amy Heckerling, the woman behind “Clueless,” which, 15 years later, never fails to crack me up when I catch it on cable. As if (get it?) that weren’t enough, guess who’s starring? None other than Alicia Silverstone, whose comeback we’ve been anxiously awaiting for years. This will be the first time the dynamic duo has teamed up since their 1995 breakout. Keep reading »

Alicia Silverstone’s Diet Will Give You Glowing Skin, Magical Bowels

Alicia Silverstone, potentially Hollywood’s most devout vegan, has a new book out about her nutritional vision called The Kind Diet. Fortunately, you don’t have to become a full-on kale-munching vegan to adopt Silverstone’s doctrine. The plant-based regime accommodates dieters of three levels, where at the lowest, you “flirt” with the idea of veganism by making a few key changes in your diet, and at the highest, the “superheroes” go all macrobiotic. (Corny!)

While weight loss is a main focus, Silverstone claims that her diet also has some interesting added perks. Keep reading »

10 Reasons Why We Are So Ready For Alicia Silverstone’s Comeback

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen “Clueless.” I always adored Cher Horowitz’s valley girl awesomeness. And don’t even get me started on her computerized revolving closet. Obviously, I was elated to hear that Alicia Silverstone is back, at least on Broadway. The ’90s It girl is leaving her pink boa and Beverly Hills behind and hitting the stage in New York City, to play an editor’s girlfriend in the play “Time Stands Still.” I am so hoping that this is the beginning of her comeback. Let me count the reasons why. [The Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Alicia Silverstone & Alanis Morissette’s (Fake) Indie Road Trip Movie

Funny Or Die, who manages to get every celebrity you can think of to star in their spoofs, has reminded me of just how adorable and funny Alicia Silverstone is, with this spoof of indie road trip flicks. Says Kelly Draper from LA Weekly, “Someone dies and there’s a LOT of music. Much more music than story,” while Charlie Benson of the Village Voice asks, “Is this a CD or a movie?” Hilarious. Now can someone give Alicia a job already? [Funny Or Die] Keep reading »
