After oodles of Dracula adaptations, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Twilight,” “True Blood,” “Daywalkers,” and “The Vampire’s Assistant,” I thought I’d let out a blood-curdling scream if I heard about another vampire movie. But amazingly there’s a new entry in the bloodsuckers category that I’m pretty excited about. The flick is called “Vamps,” and it starts filming in April. What’s so buzzworthy about it? It will be directed by Amy Heckerling, the woman behind “Clueless,” which, 15 years later, never fails to crack me up when I catch it on cable. As if (get it?) that weren’t enough, guess who’s starring? None other than Alicia Silverstone, whose comeback we’ve been anxiously awaiting for years. Alicia Silverstone, potentially Hollywood’s most devout vegan, has a new book out about her nutritional vision called The Kind Diet. Fortunately, you don’t have to become a full-on kale-munching vegan to adopt Silverstone’s doctrine. The plant-based regime accommodates dieters of three levels, where at the lowest, you “flirt” with the idea of veganism by making a few key changes in your diet, and at the highest, the “superheroes” go all macrobiotic. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen “Clueless.” I always adored Cher Horowitz’s valley girl awesomeness. And don’t even get me started on her computerized revolving closet. Obviously, I was elated to hear that Alicia Silverstone is back, at least on Broadway. The ’90s It girl is leaving her pink boa and Beverly Hills behind and hitting the stage in New York City, to play an editor’s girlfriend in the play “Time Stands Still.” I am so hoping that this is the beginning of her comeback. In an interview, she talked about her life with a frankness not found in most celebrities, including recounting a relationship that she had with a stripper named Nikita who did slow dances to Aerosmith ballads. Although, she declares her “I Kissed A Girl” moment doesn’t mean that she’s gay or bi. “Look, I’m not a lesbian,” she explained. “I just think that all humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes. I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl — Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands. She’s mesmerizing.
