Late Saturday, The New York Times published an open letter written by Dylan Farrow, the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen, in which Farrow, for the first time in her own words, described the sexual abuse she allegedly endured as a child at the hands of Allen. At the end of the letter, Farrow specifically called out celebrities who have continued to work with and champion Allen’s talent, despite the publicness of these allegations. “What if it had been your child, Cate Blanchett?” Farrow asked. “Louis CK? Alec Baldwin? What if it had been you, Emma Stone? Or you, Scarlett Johansson? You knew me when I was a little girl, Diane Keaton. Have you forgotten me?” (Allen has continued to deny Farrow’s allegations.)
Cate Blanchett responded vaguely and delicately when she was asked about Farrow’s allegations at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. But Alec Baldwin, who has never been delicate with words, had stronger words for Twitter followers who said he owed Farrow an apology. “What the f&@% is wrong w u that u think we all need to b commenting on this family’s personal struggle?” he tweeted angrily to one. To another follower he responded, “You are mistaken if you think there is a place for me, or any outsider, in this family’s issue.” Both tweets have since been deleted. Keep reading »
Alec Baldwin is reportedly losing his MSNBC talk show, “Up Late With Alec Baldwin,” following a suspension for allegedly calling a paparazzo a gay slur, according to Page Six. Earlier this month, the “30 Rock” star allegedly called the photographer a “cocksucking fag.” Page Six claims MSNBC’s parent company Comcast has decided to nix the talk show, which pulled in crappy ratings anyway. The actor has had numerous other outbursts, including threatening a British tabloid writer and calling him a “toxic little queen” and punching a paparazzo in the face. Regardless of whether this MSNBC rumor is true, I’m sure Alec Baldwin will have a hotheaded response, whether on Twitter, in real life, or on someone else’s talk show. [Page Six] [Photo: Getty]
File this one under “Things We Never Thought We’d See Except In Our Dreams”: Alec Baldwin doing pre-natal yoga with his wife and baby momma Hilaria, in a “Fit Mommy-to-Be Prenatal Yoga” DVD from the yoga instructor, set to be released this week. Alec is not exactly known for being much of a good-natured sport when it comes to doing things that our outside his realm of interest. I think it’s quite admirable (for him) to have made it through this clip, in which he helps Hilaria with partner stretching, with only a slight look of embarrassed discomfort on his face. Jack Donaghey would never. [Daily Mail UK]
Oh, Ireland Baldwin, there you go winning the genetic lottery and all. Alec Baldwin‘s daughter signed to big-time modeling agency IMG just last month, which definitively makes the 17-year-old a fashion fixture to keep your eye on. Here she is at the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 10th Anniversary Celebration, where she rubbed elbows with the likes of Emmy Rossum, Chrissy Teigen, and Cyndi Lauper (and, um, Kelly Bensimon). This girl is so beautiful it’s almost stupid… and she’s six foot two. That is ridiculous. I fully, 100 percent stalk Ireland on all social media, and she seems like a really, really cool person. She handles all of her inevitable Twitter bullying like a serious champ. Plus she has a gorgeous boyfriend, whose name is Slater Trout, just in case you were wondering. I’m a little girl crush-y. Consider me on official Ireland Watch from here on out, okay? Slater Trout, too. Slater Trout.
*This is in reference to that infamous voicemail Alec Baldwin left for his then-11-year-old daughter, just FYI.
