How To Get A Date In Time For New Year’s

Around this time of year, a lot of single people start complaining about the fact that they’re single and don’t have anyone special to exchange presents with or kiss when the ball drops. But single people should stop being sad and start exercising the wonderful opportunity they have for picking up dates during the holiday season! Or so says Joseph Matthews, the author The Art of Approaching, who specializes in teaching men how to meet the women of their dreams. He has some ideas for doing that during the holidays, and we don’t think they’re guy exclusive, so let’s take a look… Keep reading »

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Photographs The Paparazzi

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so adorable—he’s one of the only guys who can rock a baseball cap without making me want to scream. When some paparazzi photographers started snapping photos of him at LAX, on his way to Pittsburgh to film “The Dark Knight Rises,” Joseph whipped out his phone and started to give them a taste of their own medicine. Adorbs. [ONTD] Keep reading »

Lady Gaga’s Airport Adventure Look

So, this is how Lady Gaga dresses when she’s going to the airport. Not that we’re surprised. Still, it seems that multiple metal belts and tchotkes might be a bit inconvenient for airport security. And we’ll take flip-flops over trying to get those platform boots off with a line of disgruntled passengers behind her any day. [Veronica James] Keep reading »

Josh Duhamel Gets Kicked Off Plane

The tabloids like to say that the “Stars They’re Just Like Us,” but it looks like the stars don’t agree. Or at least, not Josh Duhamel. The actor apparently thought his celebrity status meant that he didn’t have to turn off his Blackberry on a New York commercial flight. Duhamel was asked three times by a flight attendant to turn off his phone during the aircraft’s taxi to the runway. Fellow passengers said Josh was “rude” and laughed off the attendant’s request. After Duhamel’s third refusal the attendant called the gate for assistance and the plane had to return from the runway so Josh could be escorted off. His reps say that Josh is sorry and that he was texting people about how the flight was delayed. Well, now he can comfortably sit in the airport and let people know he isn’t going anywhere. The Unfriendly Skies: 7 Celebs Behaving Badly In Airports

The friendly skies have gotten a little choosy about who gets to fly in them, or so it seems for Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who’s banned from all United Airline flights. The actor landed himself on the no-fly list as a result of an unruly, alcohol-filled episode early this month. Meyers worried the crew when they saw him guzzling down drinks in the first class lounge before an early flight. Their concern was well-founded, because while boarding the plane, Meyers became belligerent and disruptive, causing him to be escorted from the aircraft. The incident also proved that there are some issues that the actor’s sexiness cannot solve. This was not Meyers’ first run-in with air and alcohol—he was previously arrested for attacking a staff member at a bar in Charles de Gaulle airport. [Radar Online]

But on the bright side, he is in good company! Read on for a list of other celebrities who had an issue at airports before they even got off the ground. Keep reading »

A Kiss Is Just A Kiss … Or An Airport Security Breach

Last Sunday, there was a big post-underpants bomber mess at Newark Airport in New Jersey. The entire place was completely shut down—everyone in the terminal was evacuated and had to be rescanned to enter—because some dude walked the wrong way through security and disappeared into the crowd. So did this man have nefarious intentions? No, in true fairytale form, it turns out all he was after was a kiss. Here’s what happened: TSA agent Ruben Hernandez was keeping watch at the security barrier when an unnamed gentleman said farewell to his lady friend. The lady went off for her flight, and the man tried to follow her. At first, no problem—Hernandez stopped Romeo. But then the agent’s cell phone rang. While Hernandez was distracted, our unnamed suitor slipped unnoticed under the rope to spend some more time snogging his lady love. And panic ensued. All I have to say is, come on! Hasn’t TSA seen a romantic comedy before? (Or that episode of Friends when Janice shows up at the airport to bid Chandler goodbye as he leaves for his originally BS trip to Yemen?) Apparently not. They are currently using video footage and cross-checking it with airplane manifests to try to find the woman in question, hoping that she will lead to the still MIA Romeo. [New York Post]
