Check Out Agyness Deyn’s Acting Debut

Joining the ranks of model/actresses is Agyness Deyn, who recently starred in Peter McGough’s 13-minute short, “Mean to Me.” Her performance isn’t exactly riveting, though we’ve got to give her props for being better than her male companion. More important than the awkwardly delivered lines is the fact that she looks awesome and the clothes are gorgeous. Though they do a great job of looking decades old, the dresses were actually designed by the ever-adorable Zac Posen especially for the film. We want. [Elle UK] Keep reading »

Agyness Adds Editor To Her Resume With New Mag Launch

Brit model and sometimes-blonde/sometimes-brunette Agyness Deyn has shared the news that she’s launching an online magazine. The only details out about it is that it’s called Naag. Uh, what? Apparently, that’s some sort of name combo between Deyn and her business partner, Fiona Byrne. We’d assume, given Aggy’s fashion roots, that the site’s focus will be style. Wonder what articles we can expect … “What I Learned From Runway Falls: How to Recover from Embarrassing Moments With Grace,” “15 Sneakers With Absolutely No Arch Support For Running (Sidebar: Try Aggy’s East Village Running Route),” “Brunette Or Blonde? Find Out Which Shade Really Is More Fun.”

OK, we kid, we kid. In all seriousness, we predict that Deyn’s new venture will either be hipster-tastic enough to not come off as corny, or it will be so edgy, it’s pretentious. Excited? [FabSugar] Keep reading »

Agyness Deyn Not So Agile

Apparently model and way-cooler-than-I-am It Girl, Agyness Deyn, fell twice while walking the Hope For Haiti Fashion Show yesterday. Well, at least the bruised knees were for a good cause. [2/13/10, NYC] Keep reading »

Reality Ad Campaign: Agyness And Orlando Couple Up

Leave it to Terry Richardson to create the most uncomfortable and awkward scenarios, only to capture them in a way that’s grossly entertaining. That’s what he’s brilliantly done with a campaign for a Chinese clothing label called Me & City. In the shoot, he sets up Agyness Deyn and Orlando Bloom as a couple, catching their most realistic moments on film—a mundane conversation at a cafe, being goofy in the kitchen, or playing around in Orlando’s dressing room. OK, so maybe the shots of Aggy with a chainsaw or surrounded by dozens of balloons aren’t quite everyday happenings (well, who knows what you do with your boyfriend). Keep reading »

How To Get Agyness’ Batcrackers Crazy Lash Look

My my, the fashion stars certainly decided to shine bright at the recent ACE Awards. No one could really compete with Lady Gaga’s interesting ensemble, but supermodel-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn came close with her edgy beauty look. Not only did she rock the bowl cut that’s so chic right now, we also got the scoop from the lady behind her accompanying fine feathered friends. Makeup artist Frances Hathaway applied Shu Uemura’s Black Velvet Feather False Eyelashes to her lower lids. “Agyness is a cutting edge girl,” said Hathaway. “I needed a fashion-forward lash with an architectural influence.” Did she ever! However, she cautions that one must exercise restraint in such situations: “When making such a big statement, keep it simple; just make one lash.” After all, you wouldn’t want to go overboard. We Love Agyness Deyn’s Michael Jackson Tribute

Agyness Deyn does her best Michael Jackson impression for this fun fashion editorial in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The model wears some of MJ’s most iconic gear and accessories: the sequined jacket, military-style blazer, and sparkly gloves. Her sidekick is a monkey, a wink to Michael’s beloved chimp, Bubbles. The six-page spread was photographed by Terry Richardson. For subscribers only, Deyn graces the cover in a “Thriller”-themed pose. Newsstand covers feature actress Leighton Meester. The magazine hits stands August 18th. [Daily Mail]

Agyness Deyn: Dim-Witted Or A Publicity Genius?

Today’s New York Times Style section covers the rise and possible bail out of It Girl fashion model Agyness Deyn. Will she pursue acting? Singing? Will she leave modeling altogether? Well, you won’t get any straight (or even vaguely specific) answers from her, not even on the more benign questions. (It seems she’s gone to the Kelly Bensimon school of question answering—talk in circles about unrelated topics and hope the interviewer doesn’t notice!) But, as the NYT reporter suggests, does she actually have nothing going on upstairs, or is it just a way to fend off a line of questioning, remain elusive and thus intriguing to most everyone? You decide. Some Agy gems, after the jump! Keep reading »

Kate Moss And Agyness Deyn: All (Paper) Dolled Up

I really enjoyed playing with paper dolls when I was younger. Didn’t you? Well if not, you can make up for the lost opportunity with today’s more fashionable paper dolls. London-based artist I Love Mel has created Kate Moss and Agyness Deyn paper dolls that are sure to recapture your childhood, if you dare to open the packaging. Each of the dolls comes with fashions that the supermodels would actually wear — flannel for Agy and stripes and vests for Kate. If you’d like to take more creative license, there’s also the Colour Me Good Kate Moss coloring book. See the Agyness paper doll after the jump [I Love Mel via Refinery 29] Keep reading »
