Agyness Deyn’s Style Site, Naag, Launches

When we found out about the news that Agyness Deyn would launch a weirdly titled style website called Naag, we were intrigued, but naturally a bit skeptical. Models becoming editors? Mainly, we’re just jealous because it’s not like most of us can do the reverse switch, considering our lacking in the height and size 0 departments. Anyhow, Naag launched today, and for the most part we like what we see! (To be fair, Deyn’s title is Creative Editor, but she isn’t the sole brain behind the project—although, let’s face it, she’ll probably get most of the press and credit. In “The Street Where Originality Lives,” a cool urban street atmosphere hosts city skater kids who go to just about the most awesome-looking rooftop party you’ve never been to. What Do You Think Of Agyness Deyn’s Line For Barneys Japan?

Here’s one celeb capsule collection that slipped by us—apparently model Agyness Deyn has designed a small range called I Am by Agyness Deyn (very to the point, Agy) for Barneys in Japan. Conceived as part of an in-house green brand, Deyn’s designs appear to run the gamut. There are organic-looking mesh tops with an artsy/edgy vibe, hip-hugging jersey dresses that go more basic, and some zippered capris, which seem more model-chic than anything else.

Joining the ranks of model/actresses is Agyness Deyn, who recently starred in Peter McGough’s 13-minute short, “Mean to Me.” Her performance isn’t exactly riveting, though we’ve got to give her props for being better than her male companion. More important than the awkwardly delivered lines is the fact that she looks awesome and the clothes are gorgeous. Brit model and sometimes-blonde/sometimes-brunette Agyness Deyn has shared the news that she’s launching an online magazine. The only details out about it is that it’s called Naag. Uh, what? Apparently, that’s some sort of name combo between Deyn and her business partner, Fiona Byrne. We’d assume, given Aggy’s fashion roots, that the site’s focus will be style. Wonder what articles we can expect … “What I Learned From Runway Falls: How to Recover from Embarrassing Moments With Grace,” “15 Sneakers With Absolutely No Arch Support For Running (Sidebar: Try Aggy’s East Village Running Route),” “Brunette Or Blonde?
