We chose this picture of director/producer Lara Everly not only because we like the sheer-on-sheer look she’s working, but also because we wanted to highlight Everly and the event she’s snapped here attending. She was caught at the AFI Women Directors Showcase, an event celebrating the small but growing field of women who are making strides behind the lens. Everly herself is an upcoming female director with her own production company, Sweet Potato Productions, too. Great style and a vanguard in a male-dominated field? Pretty cool, no?
