Ricardo Tisci’s Fall 2012 menswear collection for Givenchy was dominated by a red and black palette, skirts (for dudes), leggings — and large, gaudy, and rather ostentatious nose rings. The show — with its star decals and leather jackets — had a bit of a ’90s vibe, and the nose rings certainly add to that. Would you ever wear one?
When the clock strikes midnight on October 1st all my Halloween-obsessed friends begin their holiday decorating, and they don’t stop until October 31st. And you know what? God bless ‘em — their dedication is inspiring and their Halloween parties are epic. It adds a festive touch to your fall outfits but doesn’t require transforming your home into a mortuary or investing in a metric ton of fake cobwebs.
