Tom Ford To Direct Another Film

Tom Ford, former Gucci designer, raging narcissist and surprisingly awesome director of “A Single Man,” has confirmed that he’ll be making another movie. We were skeptical when we heard last year that Ford was directing at all, but his debut film was actually pretty great, so we’re excited to see what he’s got for us this time. Ford’s staying tight-lipped about the project for now, but we’re sure it’ll be at least as visually stunning as “A Single Man” was and can’t wait for the release! [Elle UK] Keep reading »

I’m sick of trying to convince everyone to go to the movies. Go because for $10-$12, you can take a vacation from your life and live days, months, or years in someone else’s existence. Renaissance Man Tom Ford Takes Gorgeous Photos, Too

Look what I found here! Apparently, the January 2010 issue of V magazine (it’s out January 12th) will feature Tom Ford—but this time, he’s behind the lens. You know how Tom’s been getting all of this Oscar buzz for his directorial debut of “A Single Man,” the movie based on the Christopher Isherwood novel? Plot line: It’s set in 1962 Los Angeles, and it’s the story of a suicidal, gay college professor—ahem, Colin Firth—contemplating his last day on earth in the wake of the sudden death of his longtime lover. Not exactly happy-cheery, but apparently it’s a pretty damn good film.
