I’m a sucker for a beautiful prints, which makes me a happy lady this Fashion Week. From flirty florals to edgy patterns, I’ve been seeing a lot of exquisite prints on jumpsuits, dresses, gowns…pretty much everything.
Two of my absolute favorites are the Victoria by Victoria Beckham long-sleeved dress and Alice + Olivia floral gown (seen above). I would wear the hell out of either one of these bad boys. Which do you like better? Click “vote” below your favorite pick to weigh in!
Black is timeless, classy and easy to wear, which is why you see it on the red carpet all the time. Here we have (from left to right) Miranda Cosgrove, Angelina Jolie, Victoria Beckham and Jessica Chastain all in black, some wearing the neutral more successfully than others. So, who’s got your favorite look? Vote below!
“I can’t put makeup on when Harper’s around, because she would try and do the same immediately. … [The kids] lead a very privileged life but they don’t get everything they ask for. We always tell them how lucky they are. [Cruz once asked], ‘Why is it good to be famous, mum?’ and my answer was, ‘When you’re famous, you have a certain power to do good things.’ That’s how we started talking about charity. Cruz was really sweet and said, ‘When people listen to what I say, I could spread some good messages.’ It was a nice conversation to have with my child who’s only eight years old.”
— Could David and Victoria Beckham be the best celebrity parents of all time? Mayhaps. I would never expect Posh to be such a doting, grounded mother, but every time she talks about her kids, she comes across as being very, very normal. Her decision not to apply makeup in front of her one-year-old daughter is a testament to how committed she is to letting her kids just be kids. Adopt me? [Vogue UK]
Hold up. The Victoria Beckham, in an outfit that could actually be recreated by a mere mortal? For real! Sure, Posh’s look probably cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 million dollars, and this one will only set you back $288, but still. They’re almost the same! This neutral look, accented with a flash of bright orange, looks fabulous on VB — and it’ll look fabulous on you, too. (Sorry, perfect baby angel child accessory not included at this time.) Amazingly, Fashion People were undeterred by the foot-plus of snow we received this weekend, and New York Fashion Week carried on as usual. Total champs — we certainly can’t say the same about our weekend, which we spent contained safely indoors in front of the television. This is just a small selection from the many, many incredible shows that took place over the weekend and into this week. Let’s see what Alexander Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Victoria Beckham, Derek Lam, Zac Posen, and Marc by Marc Jacobs have in mind for the Autumn/Winter 2013 season… Keep reading »
It’s not every day that Karl Lagerfeld deems a fashionista worthy of being photographed in Coco Chanel’s iconic former Paris home at 31 Rue Cambon, so it’s kind of remarkable that he chose Victoria Beckham over someone like, say, Blake Lively. I totally thought Blake was his dress-up doll of choice these days. I do have to hand it to Posh for her seamless transition from Spice Girl and football WAG into a well-respected style icon and designer; there aren’t many former pop stars who ever enjoy the same level of high-fashion success. Victoria tweeted photos this week from a recent shoot for Elle France, where she appears alongside Lagerfeld modeling pieces from her new eyewear collection. What she doesn’t model, however, is pants, and that is completely understandable — if my legs looked like that, I wouldn’t wear pants, either. [Celebitchy]
Oh, oxblood, how I loathe you as a word but love you as a color, so I’m thrilled to see so many shades of deep red showing up in magazines, stores, and on stylish celebs like Taylor Swift and Victoria Beckham. We had a bit of catching up to do after the weekend, so today we’re showing you Christian Siriano, Victoria Beckham, Catherine Malandrino, Ostwald Helgason, Diane von Furstenberg and my personal fave, Duro Olowu. So many shows, so little time! Check out all the collections after the jump! Keep reading »
It finally happened: the Spice Girls reunited for Closing Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics to sing a medley of “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life” atop bling-covered black cabs. Everyone appears … well-preserved. Baby Spice Emma Bunton ditched the kinderwhore look of 1998 and looks decidedly more grown up in her hot pink dress. And it’s weird for me when Victoria Beckham doesn’t scowl. I hope that was worth the six months of being excited about it?! [Vimeo]
