Queen Sophie-Anne’s House From “True Blood” Is For Sale

Wondering what to get me for the holidays this year? Here’s the perfect gift: Queen Sophie-Anne’s mansion from “True Blood.” The gorgeously ornate house with ocean views is easily my favorite set on the show because of its old-world decadence. And now the actual house is for sale. Sadly, the abode isn’t in Louisiana—it’s in Malibu—and it costs a pretty penny. Seventy-five million dollars to be exact. But hey, I’m worth it, right? Plus, the 20,000 square foot house comes complete with an indoor pool where I could swim laps and a lion sculpture found at the base of Mount Vesuvius. Now just get me Queen Sophie-Anne’s wardrobe and her ability to never age, and we’ll be good to go. [NY Post] Keep reading »

Ryan Kwanten Admits He’s A Masochist

“I’m a huge fan of Westerns. It was originally pitched to me like that, so I was gleefully rubbing my hands together, flipping through the script. I realized pretty quickly on that even though my character is called Shane Cooper—after ‘Shane’ and Gary Cooper—he didn’t really have the iconic quality that a classic Western hero has. He’s very fallible. I mean, in the first frame, he’s forgotten his gun—this isn’t exactly a Clint Eastwood gun slinging guy who takes down any posse. I felt like he was more relatable, so everytime he’s knocked down, you’re hoping he gets back up again. I love it. Really and truly. My friends will attest to the fact I’m very much a masochist at heart.”

Alexander Skarsgard Explains How This Rolling Stone Cover Came To Be

“We showed up and we shot very PG-13 with our clothes on for basically the whole day, like six or seven hours. Then towards the end the photographer said, ‘I have this, these shots are beautiful and the magazine is going to be happy with them but I’d like to try something if you guys are game.’ He explained it and it was just one of those things in the moment where we all looked at each other, we’d spent all day with the photographer, we felt comfortable with him, we knew that he was great and the atmosphere was right and we were like, ‘F*** it, let’s do it.’ No one thought that the magazine would go for it.”

“Sesame Street”‘s Take On “True Blood”: “True Mud”

Sesame Street” may have said no to Katy Perry’s boobs, but that doesn’t mean that the classic kids’ show has lost its cool. This amazing spoof of “True Blood,” called “True Mud,” is designed to teach kids about rhyming. And make us adults laugh, because the idea of trying to clean up this show and make it kid-friendly is just, well, comical. [PopEater] Keep reading »

Joe Manganiello Was Born To Play A Werewolf

“I sniff you a lot. And I growl a lot when you ask me to do things, like clean up.”

Joe Manganiello of “True Blood” jokes with his girlfriend, model Audra Marie, about why he was the perfect person to play werewolf Alcide. Her response after the jump … Keep reading »

Would You Buy Stephen Moyer’s, Ahem, Genital Sock?

“Stephen did not say whether the sock had been used or not…and we’re not asking.”

That’s the word on an eBay auction benefiting Gulf Aid for which Stephen Moyer has donated his “Sock of Destiny.” That’s what he calls the c**k sock he uses to cover his vampire wang when filming love scenes for “True Blood.” The current bid for the c**k sock (God, I love saying that) is $1,400. Something tells me Alexander Skarsgard‘s would fetch even more but, unfortunately for the charity, he doesn’t use one. So anyway, how about pooling our money and going in on a group bid? Joe Manganiello Of “True Blood” Has A Stalker Problem

Joe Manganiello of “True Blood” is, apparently, a stalker magnet. Even before permanently losing his shirt for the role of Alcide, Joe had a few rabid followers. “I’ve had two crazy stalkers that, ah, one would call and leave these really weird poems on my phone. Another one would send these creepy pictures to my house,” he said. “I was at the police station filing this report and the police officer’s trying to figure out who these guys are and I kind of looked at him and shrugged my shoulders and said, ‘It’s never a hot chick.’ And he just kind of stared at me.”

But since “True Blood”‘s new season started, things have gotten much worse. Keep reading »

Do The “True Blood” Action Figures Do The Actors Justice?

OK, so technically these are “busts” not action figures since they don’t have legs and aren’t really meant to be played with. In other words, you can’t make Bill, Sookie, and Eric have a threesome by rubbing their figurines together the way I might have done with Barbie, Ken, and Midge, but I digress. Bill and Sookie’s busts are pretty accurate, but Eric’s does not even come close to capturing ASkar’s essence, at least in the face. The body is pretty hot though. For a toy, er, display piece I mean. [$69.99 each, HBO] Keep reading »

After Edward: What Will Be The Next Big Post-Vampire Craze?

Team Edward or Team Jacob. “True Blood” and “The Vampire Diaries.” It’s clear that blood-sucking vampires are having a cultural moment. In fact, since the first “Twilight” movie was released in 2008, vampire-related products have grossed more than $7 billion worldwide. That’s a whole lot of blood at the bloodbank.

But “Twilight” and “True Blood” won’t be around forever (sad but true). So we’ve provided a list of several hot-to-trot contenders ready to replace the vampire craze with all the Burger King merchandising tie-ins your heart desires. Keep reading »
