I can’t even with this, it’s just so fucking good. Chicago production team The Hood Internet mashed up the bones of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” with some of the beats from Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle,” put Kendrick’s rap over it with Taylor’s chorus, and created “Backseat Shake Off,” probably the best music mashup I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s official: Taylor Swift’s ’1989′ has become the first million-selling album this year.
Just last week, the pop star sold 1.287 million copies of 1989, making it the first album released this year to pass the million sales mark, and the year’s second-highest seller overall, just underneath the Frozen soundtrack, which was released in 2013.
In laymen’s terms: Swiftie sold more than two copies of her album every SECOND last week. If we put that much effort into doing anything else, we could probably save the world, you guys. Keep reading »
Two young girls were having their photos taken in the park with photographer Sarah Bailey when the unthinkable happened: Taylor Swift came jogging along and joined in on their shoot, which is probably (and unfortunately) the coolest thing that will ever happen to them, ever.
Wearing a Notre Dame hoodie, grey spandex pants, sneakers, and lipstick (obviously) Taylor looked pretty damn good, and even suggested some poses for them to try together.
