Miley Cyrus is reportedly dating her 22-year-old backup dancer, Marshall. There hasn’t been an official confirmation on this, but the two have been caught flirting on camera, and there’s a photo of Miley kissing him on the cheek. Now, that’s only a seven-year age difference, but she’s 15. Has she even “become a woman” yet? After the jump, a few other underage celeb relationships — why don’t guys have relationships with older women when they’re under 18? Or do they, and nobody cares? [ThinkFashion] Keep reading »
“I think I’m too much to handle right now. There’s so much going on in my life at the moment with traveling and there’s always cameras following me — all that kind of stuff. I don’t think it’s great for dating anyone. There are guys I like to hang out with, but I like to be the girl who no one can get. I think that’s always hotter anyway. It’s much more attractive to be the person everyone talks about.” — Miley Cyrus Keep reading »
Amid Vanity Fair-gate, Time published Donny Osmond’s thoughts on Miley Cyrus’ career:
Show business is about idolization. As an idol to tweens the world over, singer-actress Miley Cyrus, 15, is riding a huge tidal wave at the pinnacle of her career; this is as it should be. I hope she enjoys it. I guarantee there will be many bumps in the road ahead. One of them, especially for somebody who acts and sings on her own TV show, is that your image becomes cryogenically frozen into a specific stereotype…..Her challenge will be overcoming the Hannah Montana stereotype. Miley’s fans are not thinking about the fact that she will grow up too. As she does, she’ll want to change her image, and that change will be met with adversity.

Maybe the real lesson learned from all of this isn’t that Miley Cyrus is a lil’ trampy for 15, or that her parents were remiss, or that Disney needs to chill the hell out. Maybe it’s that Annie Leibovitz is played out. [Comedy Central: The Colbert Report] Keep reading »
Alright guys, what do you think of this whole Miley Cyrus/Vanity Fair/Annie Leibovitz debacle? To refresh: Leibovitz shot the pop star for the magazine draped only in a sheet, very little makeup, and tossled hair. No matter which way you cut it, the photo certainly is provocative. It’s also beautiful, but really, wouldn’t expect anything less from a photographer of Leibovitz’s caliber. All that said, Cyrus is 15-years old. Regardless of whether her minders or grandmother or parents were at the shoot, isn’t it kind of…odd…for a magazine or a photographer to suggest sexy look in the first place? Keep reading »
Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has called for a conference to discuss the “racy” photos leaked on the internet of Miley Cyrus flashing a lil’ green bra at a camera when she was 14. “Look, we have so few role models, particularly for little girls in this country,” he said. “She is the main one. I hate to see this. Parents all over the country like this girl because she is clean-cut.” The fact is, we listen to Miley Cyrus (so not embarassed about that) and do think her music has a little sexiness that maybe is odd for 14, but after Britney Spears and her “Hit Me Baby” mini skirts and crop tops, she seems pretty tame. Also, what is the point of a conference headed by Bill O’Reilly? No one would get a word in edgewise on this oh so important topic. [Us Weekly] Keep reading »
