Reader thehighandlow made this “Lost”-themed Valentine’s Day card, and we thought it was so cute (we heart Desmond and Penny) that we had to share it. Keep reading »
4 8 15 16 23 42. These numbers will only make sense (err, be recognizable?) to “Lost” fans and I needed something to grab your attention since you’re probably losing it a little in anticipation of tonight’s season premiere. This is the sixth and final season of the polar bear and time travel-tastic series, which means that it’s (presumably?) time for the writers to start tying up all the loose ends. So what will be happening this season? There are a zillion theories out there. After the jump, we’ve rounded up some of the most interesting.

Everyone at The Frisky is anxiously awaiting the premiere of the sixth and final season of “Lost.” We mark our calendars with big Ls for every day that brings us nearer. Did Locke get Jacob killed? Did Juliet survive? Will we ever get an actual explanation on the polar bears? In the name of higher education, I guess, ABC is getting together real college professors to bring us the internet-based Lost University. It’s a community, it’s a conspiracy, it’s a second chance for those of us whose inferior college opportunities didn’t include courses like Philosophy 101: I’m Lost, Therefore I Am. “It’s the perfect marriage of entertainment and education,” says professor Sean Carroll of Caltech, whose Introductory Physics of Time Travel will be one of the online video courses for students who find their way to Lost U. I’ve gotta go do beer bongs at a frat kegger now, to drown my sorrows. Lost U rejected my enrollment application without even letting me take the placement exams. [Slate] Keep reading »
Woo hoo hoo! Only 63 days until the premiere of the final season of “Lost
.” One of the highlights of seeing “New Moon
,” for me, was the trailer for season 6 of “Lost,” but it didn’t actually give any new information. So I’m kind of feeling this Spanish teaser trailer a bit more, thanks to the trippy chess board and Radiohead song. And just think—it’ll be a whole new decade when this thing premieres. [EW

Kate on “Lost” is one of the most vile female characters on TV. She’s also proof that the general consensus is that men love the chase and are most attracted to women who are a challenge, drive them crazy, and will cause so much drama that she overshadows the smart, kind, and loyal woman standing next to her.
The producers have tried to make Kate interesting, by writing her first as an independent bad girl who’s evolved into a nurturing mother figure, but ultimately, she is a cliche. She’s a tease, who tempts both the Good Guy (Jack, the doctor) and the Bad Boy (Sawyer, the con artist) with her attention grabbing antics, bouncing between both like a ping pong ball who just can’t decide who she really loves. Yawn. She’s also a pain in the ass. She screws up plans, takes matters into her own hands when she really shouldn’t, and acts high and mighty. She is easily the most annoying female character on TV since Kimmie Gibbler and she’s also “Lost”‘s biggest flaw. You can quote me on that. [Note: There are spoilers about "Lost"'s season finale, after the jump.] Keep reading »
“Lost” turned 100 last night, airing its 100th episode, and, go figure, last night’s show ended with a shocker/head-scratcher/WHAT? The show has always been full of horrible fathers — from Jack’s alcoholic pop to Locke’s father who went so far as to steal his son’s kidney — but last night Eloise Hawking shot her son, scientist Daniel Faraday. Why’d she get trigger-happy? After recovering from shock, the blogosphere discussed. Keep reading »
This is a bit of an oldie, but a goodie, and something I hadn’t seen before until this weekend. When “Lost” was about to make its season one debut in the U.K., edgy photographer and filmmaker, David La Chapelle, was called in to direct the promo spots. Set to the tune of one of the sexiest songs ever, Portishead’s “Numb,” this trailer made me fall in love with “Lost” all over again. Keep reading »

Ladies, January 21st is WHERE IT’S AT. “Lost” returns that day and by the looks of the new preview, it is going to be an EXCITING season. Someone is on fire! Sawyer gets shirtless! Locke is in over his head! S**t gets blown up! Ben gets even creepier! I cannot wait. Keep reading »
