8 Stars Who Are Big Fans Of Pole Dancing

Pole Power
How pole-dancing made me love my body. Read More »

We knew that pole dancing had gone mainstream when soccer moms started talking about it, and we all remember when Miley Cyrus took a stab at it during the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. Since then, pole dancing continues to seduce women by the truckload. The latest celebrity to express her love for the pole? Emma Watson, who has supposedly taken up pole dancing on the set of “The Bling Ring” to learn how to dance like a stripper. Even though she never thought she’d like it, a source tells the UK’s Sun newspaper that Emma is “amazed with the results because it has toned her body so well [and] finds it quite liberating.” Our little Hermione is growing up! Read on to hear why more stars love the pole. [The Sun UK]

At what point did I become so mortally jealous of Hermione? She went from a frizzy-haired child wizard to a bonafide style icon in practically no time at all — props! Emma, as anyone who’s anyone does, turned out in my fair city for the Tribeca Film Festival, which runs April 18-29, and last Saturday night, she attended the premiere of “Struck By Lightning,” starring Glee’s Chris Colfer. I daresay she was the best-dressed at the event in head to toe Miu Miu, mixing tiny prints in the same color family and tossing on a motorcycle jacket over the whole thing like a pro. I’ll show you how to get my supremely wearable altered interpretation on this look, without the hefty price tag, after the jump. Now, if only she’d grow out that pixie cut… Keep reading »

“Perks Of Being A Wallflower” Movie Release Might Be Pushed Back, Plus New Stills

“Perks of Being a Wallflower,” starring Emma Watson and Logan Lerman, is currently in post production. They started filming back in the summer of 2011. Fans of the book and Watson have been teased with movie stills but still no trailer. Says a source: “IMDB only has a release date of 2012 and speculation is that the rumored release date for Perks is being pushed back to a fall 2012 release date instead of spring 2012 date.” Click for more stills from the movie…

Emma Watson’s Hair Was The Most Googled This Year

Lesbians who look like Bieber refuse to accept his new hair. Read More »

I don’t really get it — because it’s generally understood that most guys don’t like short hair. And if guys don’t like short hair then girls aren’t going to get out of their way to get their hair cut short. However, according to Google stats, Emma Watson’s cute little pixy haircut (sorry, I’m biased!) was the most Googled haircut of 2011. And for the men’s, Justin Bieber’s revolutionary boy teen locks were the most Googled, too. Weirdly, those two haircuts may be slightly interchangeable, so perhaps soon we’ll see a whole army of Emma Bieber bots. [WSJ]

Emma Watson Still Wants To “Look Human”

“I don’t have perfect teeth, I’m not stick thin. I want to be the person who feels great in her body and can say that she loves it and doesn’t want to change anything. It’s ridiculous that [loving the way you look] seems such an unrealistic goal. I think the actresses who are really successful are the ones who are comfortable in their own skin and still look human.”

Emma Watson shared her healthy take on body image to Elle UK, which is especially refreshing because legions of little girls look up to her. Emma also told the mag “all those young people having plastic surgery” is “quite scary.” Don’t go changing, Emma! [Gurl.com] Keep reading »

Emma Watson Is The Latest Celeb Turned Designer

Now that the “Harry Potter” kids no longer have a bazillion dollar franchise to support, Emma Watson has got some free time, and it seems she’s opted to pick up some work as a fashion designer. No longer content to merely serve as a model/muse for Burberry, Watson is said to be launching her own line, and has been taking cutting, sewing and design classes, presumably at Brown University’s sister school, RISD. According to an unnamed source, “Emma wants to challenge herself creatively. She’s obsessed with art at the moment She’s already designed a line of T-shirts and wants to expand her skills to create bespoke evening wear.” So she’ll join Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag and Avril Lavigne, among others, as model/actress/muse/designer. Phew. That’s a long resume. [ONTD] Keep reading »

Emma Watson Says Being Sexy Is Scary For Her

“I felt a bit uncomfortable and awkward. It didn’t come naturally at all. My acting tutor said the hardest thing for me was to get angry. I almost broke down in tears when they tried to get me to be angry. I keep that really bottled up somewhere. I feel unleashing it would be the scariest thing and to let myself be powerful, sexy, all those things—it’s scary for me.”

Emma Watson talks to Harper’s Bazaar UK about how she felt shooting this spread for their August issue headlined “Good Girl, Gone Bad.” Something about this quote, combined with the image of her posing behind the gate, makes me think she’s about to bust out singing that Smashing Pumpkins’ song, “Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage.” Love the hair, though. Emma Watson Has Lived In A Bubble

“Hermione is so close to who I am as a person that I’ve never really had to research a role. I’m literally rediscovering what it means to be an actress … I have had no control over my life. I have lived in a complete bubble. They found me and picked me for the part. And now I’m desperately trying to find my way through it.”

Emma Watson waxes philosophic on acting and life after “Harry Potter” in the latest issue of Vogue. Also, she wears fancy, metallic clothes and looks stunning. [Vogue] Keep reading »

Emma Watson Has Boy Troubles, Too

“I say to my friends, ‘Why hasn’t X called me? Why doesn’t anyone ever pursue me?’ They’re like, ‘Probably because they’re intimidated.’ It must be the fame wall … It must be the circus that goes around me. Me, as a person, I find it hard to believe I would be intimidating … Sometimes, maybe because they feel intimidated, they feel they have to knock me down. They know perfectly well who I am, but they’ll ask me, ‘How are the Narnia films going?’ … [That's why] I’m single at the minute.”

Emma Watson talks about her dating issues. While I can’t relate to her particular dating problem (what is the “fame wall?”), it does feel good to know that all of us—no matter how hot, or rich, or famous, or adorably British—have them. Although, I imagine being able to treat yourself to a $5,000 shopping spree after being dissed by a guy would be a great comfort. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »
