Zergnet: Simply Irresistible

This year’s Lingerie Fashion Week in New York coincided with the 75th anniversary of the invention of nylon stockings, and the pin-up inspired lingerie line Secrets In Lace celebrated with a vintage runway show and burlesque performance. From the sounds of it, the show was the kind of fashion celebration vintage dreams are made of — models walked the runway to live jazz music, burlesque star Angie Pontani performed, and a host of curvy models rocked Dita Von Teese’s nylon line, which is manufactured on the machines that created the original nylon stockings of the 1940s. It’s so refreshing to see a fashion show that highlights the female body as is without the body image-crushing restrictions of most modern runways. Who would dare mess with the beauty that is Dita Von Teese? She doesn’t say, but she did share this picture on her Instagram account of herself extravagantly Photoshopped. (By the same people who did this, maybe?) Her hair color and style are completely different, her makeup is changed, and that lovely ivory complexion is traded for a LiLo-ian spray tan. That’s no Dita Von Teese at all, that’s just someone in Malibu’s third wife. She’s hot in her own way … but I’ll keep regular Dita, thanks.
Saying Dita Von Teese looks flawless is about as surprising as saying Connie Britton is having a good hair day or Justin Bieber looks like he is in dire need of a diaper change, but whatever, just LOOK AT HER. I especially love the color palette and print on this dress, as well as the curve-hugging shape (natch) and dainty red straps. Like I said, flawless. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
