Computin’ In The Kitchen

We think you’d have to be kind of crazy to actually chop onions on your MacBook cutting board case, but for the gal who loves a two-in-one, go dice-happy. [Unplggd] Keep reading »

Snooki Nixes Pouf To “Look More Mature”—What Have You Done To Look Older?

Pouf of Snooki, we hardly knew ye. You came into our lives, entertained us, and then vanished in what seemed like the blink of an eye. As we saw at the MTV Video Music Awards, the guidette has gotten rid of her signature pouf hairstyle, apparently in favor of a more “mature” look. She says, ““I want to look more mature. The pouf—I’ve been wearing it since I was 16, so why not switch it up?” We were thinking the change was actually working until Snooki kind of contradicted herself: “Now I have bangs. I haven’t had bangs since I was seven, so this is weird.” Leave it to Snooki to put her foot in it. Anyway, this got us thinking—what were some of the funny things we did (or, um, still do) to look older? After the jump, Frisky editors chime in. [People StyleWatch] Keep reading »

Frisky Staffers Shop Gilt Groupe On CNN

This shouldn’t come as a shock, but the majority of us at The Frisky are a little obsessed with online shopping. Personally, I way prefer shopping from the comfort of my desk or couch to fighting the crowds at department stores or New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, which has come to basically be an outdoor mall. In particular, we’ve sung the praises of online sample sale sites like Gilt Groupe because they sell mid-to-high-priced designers’ labels at discount prices that you can’t find in stores. When Gilt Groupe has one of its final sales, work at The Frisky comes to a screeching halt for about 15 minutes, as a bunch of us go apes**t, trying to get the items we want — in the correct sizes! — in our basket as quickly as possible. CNN recently came by The Frisky’s offices to film this “shopping frenzy” in a segment that aired on “American Morning.” Check it out above! [CNN] Keep reading »

You’ll Need 3-DD Glasses For Wonderbra’s New 3D Boobs Billboard

Boobies in 3D. How could bra manufacturers have not thought of this earlier? It seems unreal, but Wonderbra just introduced their first 3D breasts billboard in London. Onlookers require 3DD (get it?) glasses to fully enjoy the Full Effect Wonderbra, which claims to boost your girls up another two cup sizes. For us poor souls without the special spectacles, the WonderBra ad is just a slightly blurry image of Brazilian model Sabraine Banando — not that anyone will complain.

Clever, yes, but we’re of the opinion that the less boob-age we see in any dimension in public, the more novel it is in private. [AdRants] Keep reading »

Not All Models Are Filthy Rich

I snapped this pic while attending the Lorick spring 2011 fashion presentation. This young model must have forgotten her look was sheer when she stuck that $1.50 in the pocket. [NYC, 9/10/10] Keep reading »
