Who Is Cheryl Cole, Anyway?

Reality TV is getting a new potential sociopath we’ll love to hate: Alexis Neiers, star of the E! show “Pretty Wild,” airing on Sunday, March 14. “Pretty Wild” will star 18-year-old Neiers, her sister Gabby, 15, their friend, Tess Taylor, 19, and the mama bear of the Neiers clan, former model Andrea Arlington. But what starts out as just another party-girls-of-L.A. reality show turns into something different when Neiers is busted as a “Bling Ring” burglar who robs clothes, jewelry and cash from the homes of celebs like Paris Hilton and Orlando Bloom. Ruh roh!
After the jump, more deets about Alexis and a clip from “Pretty Wild”...
Oh, Chris Pine. Simcha and I are so sorry for doubting you. We didn’t think you had the brawny hotness to play Captain Kirk. We thought you were too pretty to battle the Romulans and woo the ladies with your rough, raw male charisma. But we were wrong. Oh. So. Wrong. Pine captures the essence of Captain Kirk without resorting to a Shatner impersonation, and he brings a whole new level of sexiness to the notorious ladies man character. For long time fans and new converts alike, here’s everything there is to know about the delicious Chris Pine.
Singer/music producer/actor Ray J, Brandy Norwood’s brother, is the latest D-lister to look for love on VH1 on “For the Love of Ray J.” But not much is known about this guy who is desperate for musical success and enjoys partying and loving, other than that Kim Kardashian sex tape business…
George Clooney has always been a bit of a ladies man. The self-proclaimed eternal bachelor—who has vowed to never, ever, ever marry—has dated a slew of Hollywood starlets and pretty, young unknowns. Renee Zellweger, Lisa Snowdon, Krista Allen, and, most recently, Sarah Larson, have all spent quality time with the actor, but none of them have actually stuck. But could all that be changing now that Clooney has apparently been flirting outside of Hollywood? Rumor has it, Clooney is dating Fatima Bhutto, 26, the Afghan born poet and writer, who is also the niece of slain Pakastani politician Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated last year. So what do we know about the accomplished Miss Bhutto? More, after the jump…
Socialite Casey Johnson and her crew of friends have been known for starting public scandals and feuds. Recently, Casey’s ex-girlfriend, Courtenay Semel, viciously beat her and set fire to her hair. As the heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune and daughter of New York Jets owner Robert Wood “Woody” Johnson, Casey has led a very privileged life that doesn’t seem to include much more than spending money, engaging in girl fights and partying.
By now you’ve probably watched an episode of “The City” or have spent at least 10 seconds wondering why such do-nothing people get their own TV shows. One of those do-nothings is Olivia Palermo, Whitney Port’s “co-worker” at Diane von Furstenberg and her fellow “City” castmate. She’s also who I so lovingly refer to as C-Face, as I think she is possibly one of the most vapidly coniving people every on television. That said, outside of the New York social scene, Olivia is not well-known at all, despite acting as if she’s the bee’s knees. So who is this creature that our hero Kelly Cutrone literally guffawed over? All the info, after the jump.
FX’s popular suspenseful drama “Damages” begins its second season tonight and we’ve heard tons of great things about the show. Unfortunately, the first season’s episodes are not available online, but you can read the recaps here if you want to get up to speed before trying the show out this evening. Glenn Close, who we adore in basically everything, is the star, but recognizable (and beautiful) face Rose Byrne plays Ellen Parsons, the naive goody-two shoes attorney working for a devious, slightly psychotic boss. From what we understand, this season Ellen sheds her good girl image and transforms into this manipulative back-stabbing vixen, giving her boss some competition. So how do you know Rose’s face? Everything we could find out about her, after the jump…
Guy Ritchie hasn’t been divorced from Madonna for a month, yet he seems to have found someone new. Ritchie attended a London dinner party with Jemima Khan earlier this month, according to People.com. Unless you follow the U.K. tabloids, you probably don’t know much about this millionaire heiress.
He’s sexy enough to play James Dean, funny enough to host “Saturday Night Live,” bad enough to play a classic comic book villain, sophisticated enough to be the face of Gucci pour Homme, and brave enough to go gay—twice. James Franco is more than just a pretty face, he’s the kind of actor that at 30 has already earned the respect and admiration of his peers. Ask anyone, from Tinseltown to his hometown: To know James Franco is to love him. In his latest movie, “Milk,” the story of gay activist and San Francisco city supervisor Harvey Milk, he stars alongside Emile Hirsch and Sean Penn. The flick opened over Thanksgiving weekend, and it already has major Oscar buzz. In it, Franco plays, as he says, “the supporting wife” role, Milk’s lover, Scott Smith. It’s a bold move, but James Franco isn’t your average actor. Here’s what we found out about the man behind all those legends.
Poor Kristen Stewart. The actress who plays Bella in “Twilight” (Did you see it yet?!) has to deal with all of the rabid, screaming fans, but chances are most of the adoration is directed at her male co-star, Robert Pattinson. The thing is, though I haven’t seen the film just yet, given Kristen’s other work, she is probably the most perfectly cast actor in the film. You see, Kristen Stewart was an actress before “Twilight” and while the vampire filmed (and it’s probable subsequent sequals) are going to make her a mega star, she’s gotten plenty of critical attention in the past. After the jump, everything you could ever want to know about the actress who is going to be the biggest thing since, well, Robert Pattinson.
Who is this new Bond Girl, Olga Kurylenko? Well, she can tell you herself! For a model with English as her second language, the smarty-pants knows many polysyllabic words. In interviews, Olga seems like a cool chick who isn’t afraid to break up the action movie boys club! So we did a little spying ourselves and here’s what we found out about the lean, mean, fighting machine, who will be appearing alongside super dreamy Daniel Craig in tonight’s big release, “Quantum Of Solace.”
Betty Boop has strutted across the screen for over 75 years. With a skimpy dress and a squeaky voice, she charmed her way into some of the most popular cartoons and pants of her time. Now, the beloved cartoon cutie is coming to Broadway! But what do we really know about this broad, anyway? We investigators at The Frisky delved into the titillator’s textured past to find out what puts the Boop in the “oop a doop.” And it is scandalous!
Actor Gerard Butler, the actor best known for his role in “300”, has made headlines the past few months for all the business he’s being doing in his boudoir. His bedroom has seen more action than even his movie sets! And this week, he was seen at a “meeting” cozying up to Jennifer Aniston, who has supposedly taken John Mayer back. So who is this suave Scotsman who’s making more moves in LA than a U-Haul?
Anna Paquin has been steaming up the small screen with her role as Sookie Stackhouse on HBO’s “True Blood”. But we realized we know very little about this actress, except that she starred opposite Holly Hunter in “The Piano” at age nine and took on the role of Rogue in the “X-Men” franchise as a teen. That’s quite an expanse of time and we knew she had to have been up to something. You know, keeping her name out there. So after the jump find out how Paquin spends her time and who she spends it with.
With several movies out in the past year, and a few about the hit the big screen in time for the holiday rush, Elizabeth Banks is finally getting the attention she deserves. Over the years she’s had a bunch of smaller roles in movies such as “Spiderman”, “Catch Me If You Can”, and “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” as well as several roles on TV. But who is this familiar face? Here’s some of the dirt I’ve dug up on her…although she seems to be pretty squeaky clean!
Before Daniel Craig came along, I could honestly give two craps about James Bond and his stupid 007. Sean Connery thinks that it’s okay to slap a woman, Pierce Brosnan seems kind of smarmy to me, and I have no clue who Roger Moore or Timothy Dalton is. But then I heard rumors of a darker, meaner, SEXIER Bond and I was totally intrigued. And my instinct was right. I’m just gonna say it, Bond Nerds—Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Connery. In fact, I think he is better. Go ahead, crucify me, but before you do that, here’s all the info I could dig up on the British heartthrob.
Brooke Burke is tearing it up on “Dancing with the Stars” every week, and we realized we haven’t thought much about her since she hosted that spring break-like travel show on E! Here’s a little background so you can speak intelligently about the brunette while discussing her Quickstep performance with your coworkers.
“Mad Men” is my favorite smart show on television (“America’s Next Top Model” is my favorite stupid show), partially because my loins desire the raw magnetism of Don Draper, but also because I absolutely love the compelling story lines driven by the show’s main actresses. Betty Draper’s character is of particular interest to me and I think she is portrayed so subtly by January Jones. But who the heck is the actress with the porn star-worthy name anyway? Well, for starters, she must have been born to fabulous parents—upon her birth in 1978 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, her parents named her after the character “January Wayne”, from Jacqueline Susann’s “Once Is Not Enough”. That just happens to be one of my favorite trashy reads—I mean, who names their kid after a character in one of the trashiest pill-popping novels of the 1970s? Awesome people, that’s who. Read on for more January Jones info, including the slew of Hollywood stars she’s dated.
The Frisky definitely has a love/hate obsession with Rachel Zoe—we love her because she’s such a ridiculous character that she’s impossible not to watch, but we hate her because she’s grossly skinny and shallow. But I realized that perhaps many of you didn’t know who SHE is and why she has her own TV show. Here’s a little background on the pint-sized stylist with the fake tan, big sunglasses, and loads of jewelry that we’ll be spending our Tuesday nights with on Bravo.
LOVES: Born Rachel Zoe Rosenzweig in 1971 to art collector parents in New Jersey, Zoe dropped her last name in favor of her middle when she began her career as a fashion stylist—and FYI, it’s supposed to rhyme with “faux” or “dough” (or “slow”!). While studying sociology and psychology at George Washington University (she graduated in 1993), Zoe met her husband Rodger Berman, an investment banker. As the two have been married since well before she was “famous”, any other boyfriends are unknown, but Zoe has always said her first love (we assume besides her hubby) is fashion.
