Twitter has become a bit overwhelming. Everyone and their mother (yes, mothers, including Brad Goreski’s mom) are on the social media platform, tweeting away about their daily plans. It’s pretty easy to miss exciting news or random interesting comments given the mass amounts of tweets that are published daily, so Asos decided to solve this particular fashion dilemma. The brand just launched a simple website, which culls together a variety of different Twitter feeds—including models, bloggers, celebrities, designers and editors—so it’s like a one-stop shopping site for your 140-character updates. Sarah Silverman took a really strong stance in the fight for marriage equality via her Twitter yesterday. She has called on everyone to boycott marriage until it’s legal in this country for all adults, regardless of sexual orientation. But is this fair? On Monday, the Dalai Lama’s Twitter account was launched and it’s being updated regularly. The Tibetan spiritual leader already has over 6,000 followers. This is a pretty big eff you to China, where Twitter is currently banned. [LA Times]

What’s a “bligger”? Fashion blogger Susie Bubble posts the following to her Twitter: “just to add bliggers = bloggers and liggers, en-us translation meaning ppl who love freebies and general hanging-on.” In America, this newfangled slang term rhymes with a highly offensive word. However, in British slang, a “ligger” is someone who is a freeloader. Clearly, there’s no true offense meant here, but still, bliggers? Funny or stupid? [Twitter]

Mattel is introducing a gizmo called “Puppy Tweets,” its first-ever toy created for our four-legged friends And it’s exactly what you think it is—well, mostly, according to CNN Money. “Puppy Tweets is a plastic tag with a sound and motion sensor that you attach to your pet’s dog collar and connect its USB receiver to your computer. Then you create a Twitter account for your dog and enjoy updates all day ... ” The sensor picks up on what your dog is doing and sends out activity-corresponding tweets like “I finally caught that tail I’ve been chasing and ... Poor Henry Holland had a bit of an embarrassing encounter, which he detailed on his Twitter: “My date just showed up in the exact jumper i’m wearing. It’s House of Holland. More embarrassing for him i think…” We’d have to agree with Mr. Holland. Poor guy was probably only trying to flatter the designer, and his wardrobe choice completely backfired.

Still, it’s pretty funny to think of this happening, even if you aren’t gay. With all this andro dressing going on, it wouldn’t be an impossibility to come dressed to a date, only to find the same American Apparel sweatshirt staring back at you in the face. Gulp.
