The Boob Tube: What’s On TV This Weekend

iStockphoto

The best thing on TV this weekend is our very own Amelia, who will dish on the “15 Infamous Child Star Mugshots” on E!. As Amelia puts it, “Tracey Gold gets owned.” E! will re-air this special on Saturday and Sunday; see the schedule after the jump. Also don’t forget Amelia will liveblog the “True Blood” season finale on Sunday at 9 pm. What am I going to do without my Bill?

Liveblogging “True Blood”!

True Blood Liveblog

Who’s ready for another episode of “True Blood”? Me! Me! Me! Will Bill get in big trouble with the vampire council? And more importantly, will he get to hump Sookie before he maybe gets sent to the blood sucker big house? God. I hope so.

The Boob Tube: What’s On TV This Weekend

TV Schedule 11/8-11/9

There are two marathons for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” on this weekend, so there is no excuse for you not to be in the know about the drama and conspicuous consumption. But if McMansions, just-for-the-hell-of-it shopping sprees and gossip aren’t your shtick, then there’s plenty of other stuff to watch. And guess what? All of it isn’t mindless TV. Oh, and don’t forget—Amelia will be liveblogging “True Blood” again on Sunday at 9pm EST!

Liveblogging “True Blood”!

True Blood Liveblog

Okay, so, tonight hopefully we’ll see some vampires getting it on. If we don’t, I am going to be bummed. Starting at 9pm EST. Until then, I am going to go walk my dog, change into my pajamas, and make a sandwich.

The Boob Tube: What’s On TV This Weekend

TV Schedule 11/1-11/2

This weekend “Biography” highlights the four key players in the presidential election, just in time for Election Day, this Tuesday November 4th. And if you’re as enthralled with the resurgence of vampire culture as we are, check out the BIO channel on Saturday for “Secret Life of Vampires” at 5 pm. The program will be a study of vampire legends and the impact on pop culture. On Sunday you can watch “True Blood,” which dispels some vampire legends and fully embraces others. See what other Frisky-esque shows are airing this weekend after the jump.

“True Blood” Live Blog This Sunday!

So here’s the deal, peeps. Now that I am fully and completely crack-addicted to “True Blood”, I want to try this live blog thing again during Sunday night’s episode at 9pm on HBO. The last time I tried this, during the “Project Runway” season finale, it was a miserable failure, but we’ve got the kinks worked out. So join me for my super awesome, totally not nerdy “True Blood” live blog extravaganza on Sunday night at 9pm EST. Even if you’ve never watched the show before, this is the perfect night to start. The first commenter, get this, wins one night in the sack with Bill Compton/Stephen Moyer. I swear. Maybe. Be there or die!

Lizzy Caplan & Zooey Deschanel Are Practically Twins!

Lizzy Caplan And Zooey Deschanel Similarities

Ever since Annika got me addicted (like, crack addicted) to “True Blood”, I’ve been obsessing about the fact that Lizzy Caplan looks exactly like Zooey Deschanel. Do the similarities extend further than just looks? Well, here’s a hint—I’d like to be besties with both of them. More info, after the jump…

Who Is Anna Paquin, Anyway?

Anna Paquin Biography

Anna Paquin has been steaming up the small screen with her role as Sookie Stackhouse on HBO’s “True Blood”. But we realized we know very little about this actress, except that she starred opposite Holly Hunter in “The Piano” at age nine and took on the role of Rogue in the “X-Men” franchise as a teen. That’s quite an expanse of time and we knew she had to have been up to something. You know, keeping her name out there. So after the jump find out how Paquin spends her time and who she spends it with.

Halloween Costumes: True Blood Or Madonna & A-Rod On The Cheap!

Halloween is approaching fast, and if you haven’t picked out a costume yet, you’d better get cracking. To help, we’ve put together two more popular couples costumes. What better way for you and your guy to show your undying devotion to each other than to be Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton from “True Blood”? Or the two of you can go as the world’s most popular not-a-couple couple, Madonna and A-rod. If you act fast, you can get rush delivery on some of these items. Other items can be found in a thrift store, your closet or a friend’s closet, so you don’t have to spend a lot of money.

The Boob Tube: What’s On TV This Weekend

TV Schedule 10/25-10/26

“They seek him here. They seek him there. Those Frenchies seek him everywhere. Is he in heaven or is he in hell? That damned elusive Pimpernel.” But you can find the English nobleman that saved many French aristocrats from Madame Guillotine when “The Scarlet Pimpernel” airs on TCM on Sunday at 8 am. I’m actually considering waking up at that ungodly hour to watch this historic romance starring Jane Seymour. You might also like to check out “17 Kids and Counting” marathon, which chronicles the lives of the Duggar family. Also, the Outrageous Pumpkin challenge on the Food Network will definitely get you in the mood for Halloween.

Five Reasons You Should Be Watching “True Blood”

“True Blood” is my favorite new series this TV season. I love the show so much that I actually watch each episode twice—once when it airs on Sunday at 9 pm and again on HBO On Demand in the middle of the week, just to hold me over until the next Sunday. Since I’m the only “True Blood” fan at The Frisky, I thought I’d get on my soapbox and let you in on why you should be watching it. Murder, romance and fantasy after the jump…I love this show!

The Boob Tube: What’s On TV This Weekend

The Boob Tube

The weekend is the perfect time to catch up on all the TV you’ve missed. Bravo will air marathons of “Project Runway” and “Rachel Zoe Project” just in time for the season finales next week. I’ll watch “Clean House: The Messiest Home in the Country” on Saturday to make myself feel less guilty about cleaning my own home. (I’m not really messy anyway.) Sunday continues to be the best for primetime viewing, especially the 10 o’clock hour.

There isn’t much on TV this Saturday, except “Saturday Night Live” featuring Tina Fey as Governor Sarah Palin. Sunday evening is definitely the night for must watch TV. I can’t wait to see my honey Stephen Moyer on “True Blood.”

Vampires In Pop Culture: True Blood Debunks Myths And Legends

True Blood mouth

Vampires are making another resurgence in pop culture. HBO’s True Blood premiered on Sunday and Twilight the movie will be in theaters November 21. Also, the Southern vampire novels by Charlaine Harris, which True Blood is based on, remain extremely popular. Unlike other vampire entertainment, True Blood is debunking some of the vampire myths and legends, in order to make its world believable. And along the way, it may create some new ones.
