So the bitch factor has been turned WAY up with the addition of socialite and “fabulousity-crowd” lover Kelly Killoren Bensimon on “The Real Housewives of New York City.” Thanks to last night’s episode, we already know annoying/insecure Bethenny hates her guts, but the mannish model/equestrian managed to make the rest of the “Housewives” think she’s a total tool by refusing to participate in Jill’s charity. Is Kelly trying to steal C(o)untess LuAnn’s crown or is she just being given a hard time because she’s the newbie on the show? Perhaps a little digging will reveal the real Kelly….

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Gretchen Rossi will become a professional gold digger if she takes sugar daddy matchmaking site UpscaleDaddy.com up on its offer to become their celebrity spokeswoman. The site claims it “aims to bring together beautiful women and successful wealthy men for a mutually rewarding relationship.” Sounds like Rossi, who spent most of her first season on the show spending her dying fiance’s money, will be perfect for the position. Kevin Blatt, the man behind the site, who claims credit for turning Paris Hilton’s sex tape into an international phenomenon, says Rossi is the perfect candidate because she “has a thing for older men taking care of her.” If she accepts the job, she’ll get $100,000, a “Condo in Spain valued at $500,000.00 and a brand new $90,000.00 Mercedes.” Not so fast, though, Gretchen. There’s just one catch. First, she has to take a polygraph test to prove that she was “actually in love with Jeff and faithful to him” during the TV show’s taping. Sounds like Gretchen may well be SOL.

Elizabeth Hayt over at The Daily Beast describes Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise as a “post-feminist nightmare that preys on women’s shallowest, least-attractive qualities” in her article, “Wives Gone Wild.” But she, like the rest of America, can’t stop watching. Here’s why you should embrace your love of these women, even though they exhibit the worst of stereotypical feminine traits.

Dude, s**t went down on “The Real Housewives Of Orange County” reunion last night. That busy body Tamra called out Gretchen for supposedly having an affair with her ex-boyfriend while she was taking care of her sick (now deceased) fiance, Jeff. Something tells me that if it’s true, Jeff probably knew Gretchen had a little piece going on the side and was okay with it, since she was doing everything she could to make his final days comfortable and happy. I mean, I don’t think he was give her much action in the bedroom, considering he was in the hospital so much. But whatever, why is it any of Tamra’s business? She has totally had it out for Gretchen since day one, because Gretchen is younger and hotter and Tamra couldn’t stand being dethroned as the Hottest Housewife. Ugh. These people make me sick. In a good way.

Even though cameras have stopped taping, the drama surrounding the people of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” continues.

Slade Smiley, who was shacked up with Jo De La Rosa on previous seasons of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and tried to help Jo find lasting love on “Date My Ex,” was arrested Friday for “civil contempt,” which usually means non-payment of court fees or child support. He may have been visiting Gretchen Rossi, who joined the cast of “Housewives” for season four, because Slade was picked up on the same block where Gretchen supposedly lives.

Instead of enjoying the season premiere episode of “The Real Housewives of New York City” last night, I just kept thinking about how much I missed the Atlanta housewives. The New York housewives, and Orange County for that matter, have nothing on those ladies. Let’s face it, “Atlanta” brought the drama in its first season…

Last night’s episode of “The Real Housewives Of Orange County” was epic. Gretchen Rossi, the new bitch on the block (she’s the one with the Kenny Rogers lookalike for a fiance), got wasted, just wasted, at a dinner party and totally hit on Tamra’s son Ryan. Watching people get this trashed makes me kind of uncomfortable, in that I know I have been this drunk at points in my life and have probably been just as embarrassing to be around (though I have never, ever hit on anyone underage, I swear). Anyway, the episode ended with Gretchen and Ryan in the bathroom, potentially, maybe, about to get it on. Can’t wait for next week!

The women on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” sure know how to stay in the spotlight, even when the show isn’t on air. But you know what NeNe would say—“You’re nobody until you’re talked about.” Well, all the Housewives have been talked about since the season finale. We all heard the rumors about NeNe getting her own show (Update: NeNe will remain a Housewife until her spin-off in 2010), Sheree to show off her line, Sh*t She by Sheree, at Fashion Week, and Kim Zolciak is supposedly dating Lindsay Lohan’s dad. Now one more Housewife is in the limelight, but not in a good way. Our coma-inducing friend DeShawn (or as Amelia likes to call her, DeYawn) has been asked to leave the show…for OBVIOUS reasons. No one was interested in her boring life and whiny voice. But when one housewife’s story isn’t sexy enough for televison, another must step in to fill the diva role. NeNe Leakes may be in talks to get her own TV show (yawn), but she’s not the only one of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” milking the few last seconds of her fifteen minutes of fame. Sheree has completed her fashion line, She by Sheree, and plans to show it at New York Fashion Week next month. You may remember her first “fashion show” from last season, in which none of her fashions were actually shown, and instead Sheree leaned blown up pictures of her designs against the walls and hoped no one would notice they weren’t the real thing. No word yet on whether this collection is made with fabric or paper, but one thing’s for sure, Sheree can certainly afford the tens of thousands of dollars it takes to put on a show at Fashion Week. She’s taking her ex-husband, former New York Giant Bob Whitfield, back to court to get more than the initial $1 million she got in her divorce settlement. Designers like Betsey Johnson and Vera Wang aren’t showing collections in the tents this year, but Sheree is. Could this be the first sign we’re quickly moving into a Depression? Rumor has it, NeNe Leakes, from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is leaving the show. But don’t worry! NeNe is in talks to get her very own show, a spin-off which focuses on her life. What life?! NeNe, you run some bogus foundation. And as much as we love you, you are NOTHING without Kim and Sheree to fight with. What are we going to do? Watch you as you feed your sweet, old husband, drive around in your Escalade and look for your real daddy? BORING.

A New York Post TV critic has a real problem with the women on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” But we think Linda Stasi, the critic, should cut these women some slack, especially Gretchen Rossi. After all, we really can’t expect much from these saline/silicon-inflated women. I’ll make my case, after the jump.

Kim Zolciak finally discussed her hair/wig on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion special last night. We were excited to learn what the real deal is with that obviously fake hair. But sadly, Kim let us down because she really didn’t reveal anything. She said she had been very sick, lost weight, her hair fell out and a “doctor friend” told her she had cancer. She then admitted, as a total afterthought (like no one would hear), that she didn’t actually, have cancer, but had “other stuff going on.” Since we may never know what was “going on,” unless she writes a tell-all book, we’ve come up with some theories of our own. Sadly, the first season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” will come to an end after the reunion episode this Tuesday. These women were by far the most entertaining of the Bravo “Real Housewives” franchise because they didn’t keep up appearances for the camera, but let the true drama fly. I’m the only loser at The Frisky that watched every season of this franchise, so I decided to compare the Atlanta housewives with the Orange County and New York housewives. I do have to say that the first season of “Orange County” was entertaining because it was a new concept. I didn’t enjoy “New York” as much because it really exemplified the theory of two New Yorks, one for the haves and a completely different one for the have-nots. My comparisons, as I recall, after the jump.

One of the biggest shockers of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season finale was the breakup of Kim and Big Poppa, after only seven months of dating. We can’t believe she thought he would propose to her. We’re going to assume that he dumped her because, let’s face it, Kim had no reason to end things with her sugar daddy. We think the best prescription for this heartbreak and budget-ache is for Kim to jump right back into the dating pool. Check out who should be Big Poppa II after the jump.

In the first few episodes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” we noticed that the women, especially Lisa Wu Hartwell, always greeted each other by addressing each others beauty. They say, “Hey beautiful!” or “You’re so gorgeous.” At first we thought this was a fluke, that they’re just not used to cameras following them and are pulling for dialogue, but these exclamations have lasted through the season finale. We think it’s kind of sad that mothers who purport to be elite society with their own clothing/jewelry lines, charitable foundations or singing careers have to base their worth on physical attributes. We’re not saying these women aren’t beautiful, we just think they’re (supposed to be) much more than that. I have a girlfriend who has an adorable daughter. I mean, she’s so cute it hurts to look at her. But whenever I see her, I always say, “Hello, beautiful, intelligent girl.” I don’t want her to grow up thinking she’s valued just because she’s pretty. I know another six year old who bats her eyelashes to get what she wants. This girl is also highly intelligent, but she’s already learned to use her beauty, not her mind, to satisfy her wants. The real housewives are too old to change, but we’re comforted by the fact that we can stop this cycle with the little girls in our lives.

Since the premiere of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” viewers have been talking about three things: Big Poppa’s identity, the feud between NeNe and Kim and Kim’s wig, which we think looks like recycled Barbie hair. As you can see, we’ve touched on the first two topics, but decided to wait and deal with the sorry state of Kim’s wig because a woman’s hair is a really delicate subject.

We don’t mean Kim any disrespect. We just think that someone who can write checks for $67,000 should have a more expensive wig. So we decided to give Kim a few makeovers based on celebrity hairstyles, so she realizes how many options she has. If she and NeNe reconcile, maybe Dwight Eubanks will style her next lace-front wig.
