So, what’s the reason? Why would girls want to wear knee pads? It’s hard not to think of one thing. For, you know, padded protection while servicing their male friends. Next week, get ready for a day off. Well, not actually a day-off day off, but a day off from incessant coverage of Megan Fox. On August 4th, manly websites across the blogosphere will stop giving the “Transformers” starlet so much attention. They’re calling on blog readers like you to submit tights-as-pants designs—which will be judged by LiLo, ahem—and if you win, well, let’s just say you’ll be $1,000 richer and you can add “leggings designer” to your resume. As if tweens around the planet didn’t already swoon at the mere mention of the Jonas brothers, Joe Jonas had to make their pitter-pattering hearts go into early palpitations by crying in front of an arena of fans because of his breakup with Camilla Belle. The middle Jonas brother broke into sobs last night while playing a show in Detroit and it was projected for all to see on the megatron. The commentary of “OH MY GOD he’s crying!!!” by the two Jonas fanatics in the background of the video is to die for. Whether this is a monumental embarrassment for Joe Jonas or his great scheme to win Camilla back, it’s not the first time a celeb has broken down in the public eye after a breakup. [LA Times Blog]

Will the adult movie spoofs ever end? We think not. Now that Porn Valley has spoofed “The Cosby Show,” Sarah Palin’s career, and Lindsay Lohan’s life, they’re tackling the realty TV dating trainwreck that is “Rock of Love” with the aptly titled “Crock of Love.” Starring Evan Stone, the porn star who appeared in that XXX-clip that “accidentally” aired during the Super Bowl, as Brüte Michaels, viewers will witness “rose ceremonies, bitchy girl fights, emotional testimonials and fame-hungry women baring their souls (among other things) as they try to scratch, claw and sleep their way into Brüte’s life.” Sounds about right. Release date is Aug. 4—if you’re, uh, into that sort of thing.

Clearly, SamRo has a type: strawberry blonde actresses whose names rhyme with hers. The DJ took “Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo out for a fancy dinner at Nobu last night. That’s a little bit better than the cheap burritos she lunched on with Lindsay last week. [Malibu, 7/19/09]

In a bizarre move that makes me think Lindsay Lohan and the editors of Vogue suffer from amnesia and severe blindness, LiLo is on the August cover of Spanish Vogue in a Marilyn Monroe-inspired photo shoot. In the image, she dons a blond, Marilyn-ish wig, and on her dress is a ginormous black-and-white print of Marilyn’s face.

Sound familiar? Yep, it should. Last year, she did a photo shoot for New York where she recreated shot-for-shot Marilyn’s last images. Two expensive photo shoots later, I still fail to see any similarities between Monroe, the voluptuous ‘50s sex goddess turned American icon, and alarmingly-thin LiLo.

Did everyone watch Lindsay Lohan’s TV movie “Labor Pains” last night? I did not, as I was wrapped up in another episode of “The World’s Smallest Children” on Discovery Health (which you must watch, as it is utterly fascinating) and then went to bed early. But apparently, in the movie, Lindsay basically plays a pregnant version of herself, or so we’re led to believe by this video put together by the folks at Buzzfeed. Anyway, I’m sure the movie got such huge ratings that ABC Family probably will reair it every weekend for the next 30 years.  Um, or not. [Buzzfeed]

Samantha Ronson had lunch with her ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan yesterday and it appears that SamRo left LiLo hanging on a high five. We’re still worried that despite the threatened restraining order and other public drama, Ronson still might take her back. Sammy, listen to us, she’s an actress! Don’t fall for her schtick, again. Although, maybe this adult movie has finally figured out the timeless Hollywood career question, “Who Do I Have To Blow To Get A Job Around Here?” Answer: Samantha Ronson, Scarlett Johansson, Paris Hilton, and porn king of peens, Ron Jeremy. Hm, we think they forgot top dog producer Harvey Weinstein....

Oh Lindsay Lohan, how brightly your star once shined. Once the dubbed The Next Big Thing, Lohan is shilling for a supposedly stolen tanning lotion and appearing in made for TV movies. How did it all happen? We chart Lohan’s career highs and lows, after the jump!

Oh, Lindsay. Evidently, “Hangover” director Todd Phillips offered her the part of Jade, the stripper, after Lohan’s agent worked hard to get her considered. But she didn’t like the script and turned it down. So Heather Graham ended up playing the part. And, of course, the movie went on to become one of the hottest flicks of the summer. This is pretty ironic, because LiLo has stripped on screen before—in the flick “I Know Who Killed Me,” a 2007 movie that most people have never even heard of.

With Lindsay Lohan’s first movie in ages, “Labor Pains,” set to debut on ABC Family in just a few weeks, things were looking up for the struggling starlet, at least besides the whole made-for-TV-movie thing. That was until she was slammed with a lawsuit for stealing the formula for her sunless tanning spray, Sevin Nyne. While the $35, Sephora-sold mixture did prove to turn the folks over at PopEater orange, the new suit claims that LiLo didn’t have any hand in making the concoction.

The former pop tart hosted an early 23rd birthday pool party for herself at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino over the weekend dressed like schizophrenic basketball player with and a penchant for booties. As if last week weren’t traumatic enough, over the weekend, some jokester hacked into Britney Spears’ TwitPic account (it isn’t owned by Twitter, but it’s used to turn pics into tweets) and claimed she was dead. “Britney has passed today,” read the message. “It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come.” Thank goodness it was bogus—what would we have done if we’d lost the King and Princess of Pop in the same week?!

“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest met with hot mess Lindsay Lohan last Thursday in Hollywood. So, is LiLo turning straight again? Well, we don’t know, but this meeting with Ryan was no hot date. The two are planning to do a reality TV show together. Lindsay tweeted about the project saying it will be, “Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC.” [US Magazine]
