Megan Fox Dishes Dirt On Disney And Her Ex-Girlfriend

Megan Fox

“Transformers” star Megan Fox, 22, is trying to outfox the Hollywood media by confessing all the sexy secrets of her wild past. The bikini-clad bombshell, who’s on the cover of the October issue of GQ, exposes more than just her cleavage for the magazine. In an interview, she talked about her life with a frankness not found in most celebrities, including recounting a relationship that she had with a stripper named Nikita who did slow dances to Aerosmith ballads. Although, she declares her “I Kissed A Girl” moment doesn’t mean that she’s gay or bi. “Look, I’m not a lesbian,” she explained. “I just think that all humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes. I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl—Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands. She’s mesmerizing. And lately I’ve been obsessed with Jenna Jameson.” She went on to lash out at Disney for turning teenage girls into pop-culture sexpots. “They take these little girls … teach them how to sing and dance and make them wear belly shirts, but they won’t allow them to be their own people. It makes me sick. I would never issue an apology for my life and for who I am. It’s like, Oh, I’m sorry I took a naked, private picture that someone … sold for money. …You shouldn’t have to apologize.” Tell it like it is, girlfriend! Looks like this action movie heroine is better at pulling stunts off-screen than on-screen. [GQ]

Woman Gets Booted From Federal Building For Fashion Statement

Lesbian.com t-shirt

California just legalized gay marriage, but they might need to explicitly legalize gay slogan t-shirts too. Lapriss Gilbert, 31, was booted from the Social Security office in Van Nuys by a security guard who claimed he wasn’t allowed to let her in the government building because of her “Lesbian.com” t-shirt.  Gilbert, who was simply there to pick up her son’s card, was threatened with arrest if she didn’t leave the premises.  While Gilbert may have walked away quietly, she is speaking up for herself! “As an African-American and a lesbian, I haven’t been through one day without facing some sort of discrimination ... but this is just shocking,” she told reporters.  So, after the incident, she immediately did what any woman would do—she called her mom.  Tanya Gilbert, a long time gay rights activist, got so upset by her daughter’s story, she immediately phoned in the LAPD on the “rent-a-cop” guard from the private company, Paragon, hired by Homeland Security. Luckily, before the four city police officers and a federal agent arrived, a fellow Paragon security guard saw the error of their ways and the officer escorted Lapriss Gilbert in. Even the ACLU is surprised—Peter Eliasberg, an attorney for the organization, said, “I haven’t seen this type of blatant discrimination in a federal office building before.” Guess that’s the good news.  But the Gilberts are planning on filing a lawsuit against Paragon Security for their discrimination so this doesn’t ever happen again. Obit: Del Martin, Lesbian Activist

Del Martin

In very sad news, Del Martin, the lesbian activist who was finally able to marry her life partner, Phyllis Lyon, in June, has died at the age of 87. Martin and Lyon were the first lesbian couple to be married after California lifted the ban on gay marriage. It’s so bittersweet that she was able to marry Lyon before her passing—and infuriating she wasn’t able to do it earlier. [AP]

The Lesbian Index: Nine Types Of Sapphic Lovers

Lesbian Love Index

Lesbianism is such a hot topic, some celebs even seem to be capitalizing on the media coming out party.  While faux-mo’s make us want to barf, in general, the mainstreaming of what was once considered counterculture is exciting. Now heteros can finally play Indigo Girls’ records in public without being judged!  But who are the trailblazing scissor sisters bridging their community? Since everyone’s personalities are a mixture of nurture and nature, here are the basic types of lesbians from which you can make-up the Venn diagram of lesbian society.

The Sophisticate Usually an artist or academic, this well read member of the intelligentsia is socially conscious without smelling like patchouli. An important public person, she’s a wise, loving role model. Example: Melissa Etheridge

Documentary Suggests All Women Are Gay

We’ve all heard sexuality is a spectrum and that there is a sliding scale of gay and straight.  While this has been the accepted perception, new evidence has come out that all women are gay. According to Dr. Meredith Chivers’ documentary entitled Bi the Way (trailer is above), pictures of naked men do nothing for the blood flow to women’s crotches.  While we could argue with that those kinds of photos inspire the manual stimulation that gets the blood flowing, Dr. Chivers found that just the sight of naked chicks in action worked on both straight men and women. This may explain the glut of girl-on-girl action from college co-eds on LastNightsParty.com to Angelina Jolie and Clint Eastwood’s wife.  Faux-lesbos are for real! [New York Times]

    Isle Of Lesbos v. Lesbians

    Lesbos

Three residents of the Isle of Lesbos (no that’s not a euphemism, they really live there) are suing the Greek Gay and Lesbian Union, Olke, over the use of the word “Lesbian.”  Although the plaintiffs claim they’re cool with the lifestyle, they want to stop the confusion and reclaim the name solely for people from the region. They’re loud, they’re proud, and they’re used to calling themselves Lesbians. But the term actually comes from one of the most famous Lesbians, in both meanings of the word, Sappho, a writer in Ancient Greece who wrote love poems to other women. Despite the ridiculousness of the charges of “psychological and moral rape” of their label, the case, supported by a member of a local pagan group and two other inhabitants, will be heard in a court in Athens sometime in June.  [The Telegraph]

    Lindsay Lohan: Lesbian Or Not?

Speculation about Lindsay Lohan’s leanings have been gossip fodder before – she has been photographed kissing everyone from Donna Karan to Rumer Willis—so it’s not surprising that it’s the topic of discussion yet again. This time, because she’s been holding hands with Courtenay Semel. But let’s put aside questions about Lindsay’s sexuality and instead focus on the fact that women can’t hold hands without being called lesbians. Last fall, Rihanna was photographed grasping her assistant’s hand, and suddenly she’s interested in girls. It makes us sad that we can’t show affection without being branded. [PageSix.com]
