The term cougar has become a status symbol, synonymous with women of a certain income bracket, age, and beauty. While it is seemly an honor to be pretty and powerful enough to bed a younger man, lately it’s also been misinterpreted and become outright predatory. With Van Halen’s “Hot For Teacher” being consummated all over the country, the term “cougar” is getting a bad name. Indulging in trophy man is one thing, plucking an unripe boyfriend from junior high school is quite another—not to mention it’s illegal. A bunch of bad apple female educators have been spoiling the whole bunch.  On Monday, the news that a Massachusetts elementary school teacher running off with her student became public, but she’s hardly the first educator in Massachusetts to rape a child in grade school this year.

Benji Madden from Good Charlotte is a goody-goody next to wild child, Paris Hilton.  Although they are supposedly “still in love,” they broke up due to lifestyle differences. She thought tattoos and a boy in the band would get her into the rock’ n’ roll lifestyle, but she picked a guy from a band loved by 13-year-olds. So, because her idea of a good time backstage is not getting a sugar high from pixie sticks, Paris decided to move on up and find a real tough guy, not just one who looks the part. Needless to say, Paris has gotta be a little wiser if she wants to live on the edge. She’s clearly going to need some help, especially since she’s also hunting for a new BFF. Jennifer Aniston’s much anticipated appearance on “Oprah” yesterday did not disappoint. She clarified the comments she made about Angelina Jolie in Vogue (that the actress did something “uncool” by implying that she and Brad Pitt fell in love while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”), assured everyone that she’s in perfectly happy place, thank you very much, and that she’s totally proud of what Brad Pitt has done with his life in the last few years. She also confirmed she’s back with John Mayer, but that they are not expecting twins. Clip above! I gotta say, I really do like Jennifer Aniston—she seems smart and independent and self-assured. You don’t need to choose to be on Team Jolie or Team Aniston—I’m on both!

Looks like Jennifer Aniston is back on again with her musician boy toy, John Mayer. After their summer break up, Mayer made amends: “Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I’ve ever met.” But it looks like Aniston isn’t putting all her eggs in his basket again because late last month she was spotted cozying up to Scottish ladies man, Gerard Butler. Both actors claim it was all business, but from the looks of it, their meeting was more of a pleasure. Rumors that they’ve been secretly rendezvousing have been swirling since September.
