Crave: Satellite Rings

supermarkethq.com

We love the modern look of these Satellite rings by Anne Kiel, which are made in gorgeous, bright colors with sterling silver and resin. They’d look awesome on your left ring finger, the one everyone is always glancing at when you’re at Home Depot looking at tools and they’re wondering why you’re there alone, and you have to explain, “No, no, this isn’t a wedding ring! It’s a satellite ring. It’s awesome and means I can come to Home Depot alone and find things that, sure, I can’t lift into my car but so what? I’ve got this great non-symbolic ring and I’m wearing it with pride!” Or, you could just wear it on another finger. [$91, Supermarket HQ]

Creepy Or Cool? Barbie Baubles

Barbie Body Part Jewelry

Personally, I think these are really rad. Made by Etsy retailer Margaux Lange, these earrings, necklaces, and rings are made from disembodied Barbie parts. Edgy? Subversive? Icky? Or all of the above? [$110-$185, Etsy]

Crave: House Of Harlow Collection

Nicole Richie's House Of Harlow Collection

We’re hotly anticipating the release of Nicole Richie’s jewelry line, “House of Harlow 1960”, named for daughter Harlow as well as her love for the 1960s style.  From what we’ve seen previewed, everything, from the chunky bangles to the drapey necklaces, is covetable. Boo-tiful Halloween-Inspired Jewelry

Halloween jewelry

Sure, dressing up for Halloween is fun and all, but buying a costume that you’ll wear for one night seems like a waste of money. We suggest you put together an ensemble from your own closet, then splurge on a little piece of jewelry that invokes that spirit of the season but can be worn all year. Diamonds make spiders seem a whole lot more appealing, don’t they?

Crave: Metalsgirl Resin and Herb Necklace

Metalsgirl Resin and Herb Necklace

We’ve experienced growing, cooking and smoking herbs (sage, duh!), but it took jewelry designer Metalsgirl to convince us how wearable the plants are, too. Metalsgirl uses herbs like Thyme, Poppy seed, Rosemary, and Scullcap in a lovely line we covet called Resin and Herb. Love the color combination of this black, white, red and celery green necklace and while we’re not sure which herb it features, we think it’s a hit. [$80, Metalsgirl]

The Daily Squeeze: George Clooney, Dylan McKay, And Female Condoms

Luke Perry
  • George Clooney’s character in “Burn After Reading” is a sex addict. The sex toys from the movie are now selling out in stores. [NY Post]
  • Dylan McKay will not be returning to Beverly Hills. Though he’s been asked to make an appearance on the new “90210,” Luke Perry won’t reprise the role. Move on, Kelly. [E Online]

Crave: Pearl & Ribbon Necklace

Pearl & Ribbon Necklace

Pearls are timeless and ribbon is so girly. But for some reason, when you put the two together, they kind of a have a rock ‘n’ roll edge. This necklace from Wink would look amazing with a white wife beater tank, jeans, and heels. Kind of like Jackie O, gone bad. [$58, WinkNYC.com]

Crave: Melting Heart Earrings

Melting Heart Earrings

We don’t know anyone who actually uses the phrase, “My heart melts for you,” and the only time we actually see it is when we’re trying to find non-cheesy cards for anniversaries and Valentine’s Day and are stuck with sentiments like that. But if someone gave us these 14k gold Yayoi Forest earrings with a note saying, “You make my heart melt,” we have to admit, our heart would probably melt. [$320, Matter]

Crave: Sparkly Flower Rings

Carolee rings

Sometimes all you need to make a t-shirt and jeans fancy is a sparkly ring, especially one in the shape of a flower. I saw these rings and was like, “Sigh, I bet they are out of my price range” but ACTUALLY they are only $25! Dope sauce. [Carolee via Coveiter]

Crave: These Rings Are Explosive

Rocket and explosion ring set.

These rings are sold as a set, but you could totally pull them off solo. The rocket is a little suspicious on it’s own (what’s it doing?), while the explosion is mysterious by itself (how did that happen?). Check them out actually on someone’s chubby fingers, after the jump. [$95, Melanie Favreau @ SupermarketHQ.com]

Crave: A Necklace For Women Who Like It Raw

KRitt Asymmetrical necklace

Raw stones are very big for spring and summer jewelry—this necklace by KRitt does it just right. The cool asymmetrical shape, big, square turquoise stones, and delicate gold chain set this piece apart from anything I’ve seen. [$150, KRittJewelry.com]

Crave: A Slice Of Heaven On Your Hand

Slice Ring

Yesterday at the Bust Spring Fling Craftacular, I went to Sprout Jewelry’s booth four times to ogle this ring. They only had one for sale and the finger it fit is the one I wear my dang engagement ring on. For some reason, my ring finger on my right hand is fatter. Anyway, I had to walk away, but for the cheapo price of $38 (available on the line’s Etsy page!), this cool, angular piece of jewelry may be mine after all. Or yours! [Etsy: Sprout Jewelry]

Crave: Made By The Algorithms Of Nature

Full Moon necklace

We love it when smarty-pants people, like MIT grads Jessica Rosenkrantz and Jesse Louis-Rosenberg, use their brilliance for things like curing disease and/or making jewelry. This “Full Moon” necklace from their “Nervous System” line is a “one of a kind composition born from the intersection of rapid prototyping and pattern generating algorithms.” Yeah, we don’t get it either, but isn’t it pretty?
