• The National Enquirer says Angelina and Brad are dunzo and they’re already meeting with attorneys to discuss how to split their $200 million fortune and custody of their six kids. I remember being actually sad about the demise of Bradiston, so I can’t muster up any emotion here. [NationaEnquirer]
• Supposedly Britney paid $350K to get her body back in shape, opting for a mini tummy tuck, breast lift, injections, and peels, not to mention a trainer and a new gym. It’s comforting to think that it wasn’t just magic. Still, that’s 33% of a million dollars. [NationalEnquirer]

Women are on top of the world—the celeb world that is. Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey, Madonna and Beyonce Knowles claimed the top four spots on Forbes’ just-released 2009 Celebrity 100 List. Actually, a quarter of the list is female including some of our favorites: Twilight author, Stephenie Meyer (#26), Ellen DeGeneres (#40), Meryl Streep (#64), Serena Williams (#67), Taylor Swift (#69), Gisele Bundchen (#72) and race car driver Danica Patrick (#100). The real shocker is, of course, that Angelina snagged the top spot from Oprah, who’s been number one for the last two years running. Although Oprah earned 10 times more than Angie last year, she apparently didn’t get as much star-studded coverage in mags and newspapers and on TV. What’s especially strange is that Forbes cites Jolie’s blockbuster “Wanted” as a major reason she reached this pinnacle. Yeah, it made $340 million, but it’s still got nothing on an Oprah’s Favorite Things episode.

• Now, Kate Gosselin’s former fiance is dishing on her past. Factory worker Adam Miller says Kate cheated on him with some guy in a Corvette. [Perez Hilton]
• A rep for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie says the couple is going strong in response to the National Enquirer‘s insistence they had split up. [E! Online]—If they did break up, I think they’d work out some agreement to keep their family together, and we’d never know if they were together or not.

• Chris who? Rihanna was seen tonguing down Aubrey Drake Graham of “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” [Dlisted]—Maybe Rihanna should stay away from the baby faces.
• Actress Kate Walsh’s estranged husband, Alex Young, has subpoenaed the president of Disney/ABC television to testify about Kate’s finances. [Perez Hilton]
• Kendra Wilkinson and fiance Hank Baskett will bid farewell to singlehood at a joint party thrown by Bridget Marquardt. “We don’t need the last night of freedom thing. If we are apart, we are going to be on our cell phones like, ‘What the f—k are you doing? Is there any a—in your face?” [E! Online]

Her slit rides higher than her career as she hits the red carpet for the premiere of hubby Brad Pitt’s new flick, “Inglorious Basterds.” Let’s face it: The peeps weren’t there for the movie—they came to see a leg show! [5/20/09, Cannes]

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi beat out Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for the celebrities that moms would trust with their children, according to a poll of 10,000 moms by Parent Dish. Ellen and Portia scored 31 percent, while Jennifer Aniston came in second with 22 percent. Her nemesis, Angelina, got 18 percent, and Oprah Winfrey got 9 percent. The difference in votes between Jennifer and Angelina was probably more of a popularity contest, but I totally get why moms wouldn’t trust Oprah—she probably doesn’t even care for her own dogs.

Ellen seems to be a rather responsible, trustworthy person, so I get why she was chosen, but there are so many others we would have picked to take care of our hypothetical kids. And definitely some we wouldn’t.

Magazines try to put celebrities on their covers who will sell copies on newsstands, but some stars just don’t seem to attract readers the way others do. WWD searched newsstand sales numbers from the Audit Bureau of Circulations and found that Angelina Jolie, Victoria Beckham, and Lauren Conrad seem to do consistently well, no matter what magazine cover they’re on or what month the issue comes out. Vanity Fair‘s July Jolie cover was that magazine’s best seller for 2008, as was her November W. Beckham’s Elle and Allure covers were those magazine’s best sellers, and Conrad’s Shape cover sold more than that magazine’s other issues. Some cover stars you would think would do well actually fluctuated based on what mag they were on and month their cover came out. Both Eva Longoria Parker and Scarlett Johansson were best sellers for some magazines and worst sellers for others. Do you buy magazines based on who is pictured on their covers? [WWD]

A British watchdog group has deemed the TV commercial for the “Wanted” DVD release too violent because its star Angelina Jolie is pictured brandishing pistols and a shotgun. Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority says the commercial “could be seen to condone violence by glorifying or glamorizing the use of guns.” Universal Pictures, which released the film, denies any inappropriateness or contentious material and stresses that the commercial was broadcast at a suitable time for its content. Universal also asserts that “some people did not like to see a woman in a strong lead role,” so violence isn’t the real issue. Action films by nature are violent and glamorize the use of weapons, so this group should just get a grip. By the way, I was rather entertained by Angelina’s gun-wielding girl-power as she curved bullets around objects and people when I saw “Wanted” last year—I just wish this little bit of escapism hadn’t cost me $12.
