For whatever reason, we find that we wear heels more during winter than in any other season. When summer finally arrives, it’s like a breath of fresh air…for our hooves. Ahh, summer. Finally, a few months where we give our feet a break, put away the high-heeled pumps, and break out the flat sandals. Our toes are free to wiggle, are heels and arches are able to stretch out, and the dogs finally stop barking. While we totally love a traditional pair of flip-flops, from the dressed-down version (Havianas) to the dressed-up (bejeweled metallics from J. As a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival, Natalie must have had to travel to France with a lot of fancy dress for all those red-carpet appearances. Her favorite style right now seems to be anything involving ruffles, and while on other people we might be more critical of this choice, Natalie makes ruffles look good. Ruffles are her friends.

Headbands are an accessory often overlooked by grown woman. For sure, certain styles make their wearer look a little innocent, which isn’t always a bad thing. Remember when Winona Ryder sported a headband during her shoplifting trial in 2002? But these headbands are a little more fabulous than the ones you wore in elementary school. They have things like feathers (Have you noticed I have a thing for feather headbands?), jewels, and flowers adorning them, so they’re pretty fancy. Also, they come in handy when your hair is just not cooperating.

The Cannes Film Festival photos have been slowly trickling in—the photographers must be on French time—and the ladies that were in attendance really brought out the big fashion guns. After the jump, some of our very favorites.

This Sunday, Rogan’s GO International line hits Target stores. But before you decide you’re going to skip going out on Saturday so you can be first in line on Sunday morning, check out a few of the looks. It seems that Rogan would like to help bring animal prints to the masses. Doesn’t Heidi Montag have that covered? (That being said, I may have to purchase at least one of the plaid numbers. Plaid is my black.)

Johnny Depp and his French pop singer girlfriend (life partner, if you will) are so adorable we had to dedicate an entire slideshow to them, especially as it was just announced that Vanessa is going to be the new face for Miu Miu and Johnny is one of the actors filling Heath Ledger’s shoes in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Kookaliciousness.

We here at The Frisky are really into music and reading. Sometimes ours tastes are, um, awesome and we want to share them with you. Sometimes our tastes are terrible (ahem, Sophie Kinsella books and Ashlee Simpson singles), so we’ll probably keep those to ourselves. But after the jump, Emily, Simcha, Catherine, and myself share the cool stuff we’re into this month.

Catherine just bought some awesome sunglasses that she did not include in this slideshow because she didn’t want the entire universe running out and buying them—but we did include our other 10 favorites. I am personally partial to big shades that make me look like an alien, while Catherine goes for something a little edgier. But we both agree that the aqua Ray-Ban Wayfarers are friggin’ hot sauce.

Thanks for sending us so many pictures of your amazingly adorable pets. We could only pick ten, but trust us, we labored over the decision day and night. Catherine and I haven’t showered since Monday, we’ve been so consumed with the adorableness. Catherine and I are obsessed with hats. I can’t wait for the weather to commit to Spring so I can break out my awesome woven straw fedora.
