Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva‘s lawyers will be heading to court this morning, as Oksana tries to get full custody of their daughter, Lucia. Oksana’s main piece of evidence, of course, is the 30-minute tape of Mel going bonkers on the phone—several clips from the tape have now been leaked online. So how does Mel’s camp plan to counter this? They say that they have proof that the tape has been tampered with and edited. See, tapes can only be used as evidence if it can be proven that they have not been altered in any way. Keep reading »
Remember when Al and Tipper Gore split up a week and a half ago, and we brainstormed a list of who Al should date next? Numero three on said list was one Laurie David (far right), the former wife of Larry David. (The two divorced in 2007, amidst rumors that Laurie had an affair with the caretaker of their summer home.) Laurie is a high-powered global warming activist who produced Al’s “An Inconvenient Truth,” and since they’re both newly single, brown-haired, and all about the environment, we thought they’d be sooooo cute together.

Poor Anne Hathaway thought that once her crazy scam-artist ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri was out of her life, it would be the end of the drama. But just when she thought the negativity surrounding their former relationship had passed, it seems there’s one more aspect of their life together that she has to deal with. After Raffaello’s transgressions became public, Anne surrendered a few gifts he’d given her, including two Rolex watches, a pair of silver-colored earrings with “blue and clear stones,” a silver-colored chain with a cross pendant, two gold-colored rings, a five-strand pearl necklace and a Louis Vuitton box. Apparently, she had a bit of a grace period when she could have asked for the gifts back, but she must have said no thank you because the items are being going up for auction, with the sales helping to repay Follieri’s victims. I mean, would you really want to keep the gifts of any ex, let alone those of a scam artist? And you thought your break-ups were full of lingering drama. [NY Post] Keep reading »
Supposedly, Rachel Uchitel has always dreamed of posing for Playboy. Now that she’s been involved in sex scandals with two separate celebrities, Tiger Woods and David Boreanaz, it appears that she is getting her wish. According to reports, she has a Playboy photo shoot scheduled in three weeks. She won’t be baring all, but will supposedly be revealing her “backside and the topside.” I’m not quite sure what exactly that means, but I assume, as the British would say, you won’t be able to see her front bottom. Oh, and all this is after telling TMZ a while ago, “My family would have a heart attack. And I have to leave something to be desired.” Oops. [NY Daily News, Examiner] Keep reading »
“I can no longer remain silent because the United States continues to demand my extradition more to serve me on a platter to the media of the world than to pronounce a judgment concerning which an agreement was reached 33 years ago. I have had my share of dramas and joys, as we all have, and I am not going to try to ask you to pity my lot in life. I ask only to be treated fairly like anyone else.”
– Roman Polanski claims he’s being treated unfairly by being confined to his Swiss chalet while awaiting possible extradition to the U.S. for a crime he committed decades ago. He also alleges that the Los Angeles County district attorney is using his case to generate publicity and win reelection. [PopEater] Keep reading »
