Lithuanian model Auguste Abeliunate had tears running down her cheeks during both of her turns on the Jil Sander runway. At first, some fashion guests thought this was a new makeup trend, but Abeliunate was the only model rocking the new style. And a blogger wrote that she was crying for our fashion sins. Quick Pic: Barbie Gets Her Close-Up

New York Fashion Week kicked off this morning in the tents at Bryant Park. Inside the venue, there are Barbies everywhere — and not just the tall, thin, glamorous editors and buyers attending the shows. There’s a whole display that spells out “Barbie” in Barbies, each letter with a different doll.
