Bio

I'm a small town girl, who can't help but put in her two cents. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (basically "high-functioning" autism), and I have the most awesome parents in the world. My father (a cop), and my mom (homemaker) encouraged me not to let that label define who I was or what I could do. I tend to think my younger brother and I overcame many of the challenges Asperger's Syndrome threw at us was because our parents encouraged us to chase dreams and try things before saying "I can't". Between my family, and the awesome teachers I have/had growing up, I have decided to become a history/special education teacher, so I can use these experiences to help others. On that note (teaching), I LOVE learning (about pretty much anything and anyone-I believe every person has an interesting story), people who are positive/open-minded and are willing to do the hard work it takes to get things done. ...and that, folks, is just the beginning... :)
