Ever notice how a lot of blogs for dudes are 99 percent links to stuff for guys to masturbate to? We here at The Frisky wonder how guys have time to do anything else, what with all that self-spanking time on their hands. Lady blogs are a different story altogether. But that got us thinking: How often do women masturbate? Once a day? Once a week? Once a month? Once a year? According to PyschologyToday.com, 38 percent of women said they'd masturbated only once during the last year. On the other hand, About.com's Men's Health section says men masturbate around two or three times a week. We can't help but wonder if this is the whole story.

I have become lazy as I’ve gotten older so I’m down to just maybe once or twice a week, well last week it was three times because I had just bought that movie Lie With Me and i have it major for Eric Balfour, but 1-2 times is about my average even when I have a guy.

A few times a weeks - tho’ I’m a little disappointed there isn’t a “Once daily” option. There have been times when masturbation was the best way for me to relax, feel good and get to sleep (college finals, anyone?).

I know the listed answers were probably just written quickly, but the there’s some interesting subtext that seems to say masturbating is a bit…unseemly. To wit:
“Never. I’m not a dirty girl.”: Implication being that masturbation makes a girl dirty.
“Once a year. I’d rather have sex with someone other than myself.”: Implication being that masturbation is only for the lonely.
“Several times a week. I’m horny, OK?”: Implication being that a normal biological urge is unnatural.

I never do it, but then I can’t orgasm, so even trying to masturbate is sort of interesting for about fifteen minutes, then boring, and then I’m depressed for a week.

Definitely at least once a day. It feels good, and it’s easy. Sometimes I do it just outta boredom, or right before I go to sleep. I am most definitely a fan of the clitar solo.
