Face-Off: Zombies Vs. Werewolves

We heart vampires, but even we know they’re just having their day in the sun. Vamps are a trend that will soonish return to the darkest depths of subculture. But who, or rather, what will rise to take their place? Benicio del Toro is backing the werewolf camp. Check out this trailer for his new flick, “The Wolfman.” Oh, if only we could get our claws in him! But is Benicio beastly enough to reign in world werewolf domination? Or will zombies kill it? Let’s examine the evidence in this blood-thirsty supernatural face-off!

FACE-OFF ZOMBIES WEREWOLVES
Strippers Last year, Jenna Jameson crossed over into the mainstream, for the first time, with a starring role in the horror movie “Zombie Stripper.” Is that an Oscar I smell or dead flesh? Shakira worked the pole in the video for her new single “She Wolf.” In that tiny outfit, there was nearly a full moon!
Michael Jackson Tributes The original “Thriller,” Michael Jackson’s most beloved music video, is being resurrected in tribute. And the zombie dance is even being done in a Phillipino prison and at weddings. In the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s vid for “Heads Will Roll,” Karen O isn’t the only one howlin’. There’s a sweet Michael Jackson “Billie Jean” homage by a dancing werewolf.
What The Kids Are Into A twisted twist on the Jane Austen classic novel Pride And Prejudice And Zombies is getting teens to, gasp, read. “Twilight: New Moon” is about to let the cat, er, werewolf out of the bag.
The Comic Con Max Brooks' graphic-novel sequel “Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks” is going to hit shelves in October. So, let’s just hope hordes of the undead don’t attack until we're prepared this fall. “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” kicked ass at the box office. Who wouldn’t pay to see Hugh Jackman with his shirt off?
Fightin’ The Good Fight Video game sequels Left 4 Dead 2 and Dead Rising 2 are coming out, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a shoot ‘em up game where you can’t try to re-kill the undead. Furries want to be taken seriously even though they’re fun-loving adults in fluffy mascots' costumes.
TV Time Zombies are attacking “Mad Men"’s hold on AMC. The “Walking Dead” series is set to premiere on the network soon. A new theory claims Darwin killed mythic werewolves by linking origins of man to apes, not furry howlers. Clearly, Darwin didn’t watch Tim Allen on “Home Improvement.”
Show Of Strength Zombie Crawls are haunting cities across the world. And the marchers are committed! Despite the summer weather, they still slap on cakes of white makeup. Now who’s dyin'?! In January, “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (aka, legendary name of werewolves)” vamps were defeated by the hairy beasts. Is this a case of art imitating life?

Kind of reminds me of Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp. Rather dark and creepy and beautiful!

That movie looks amazing, I’d rather see Benicio Del Toro as a werewolf than a bunch of pale ‘scene’ kids as vampires any day of the week. Although, what’s-his-face in New Moon as a werewolf is crazy hot (with short hair).
