Would You Wear Canvas Shoes To Your Wedding?
What if it was for a really good cause? Forget your dainty stilettos, satin-covered pumps or even blue suede shoes, because if TOMS founder (and super hottie) Blake Mycoskie has his way, the shoe of choice for blushing brides will be a pair of canvas slip-ons. The charitable company, which donates shoes to needy children with every purchase, is encouraging brides and grooms to outfit their entire party with their footwear, and they’re sweetening the deal by offering a group discount. Interested brides and singles alike should check out the special page they’ve created for details. Honestly, it shouldn’t even take that much convincing. Anything besides making people wear Crocs for your wedding (remember that trend?) is fine by us. Plus, think of all the good karma your marriage will reap! [Racked]

I’d definitely wear them, since they are very cute.

Abso-frigging-lutely!! Especially since the dress will probably be to the floor, completely hiding your footwear. Be comfortable on your day, ladies. I know I will.

Totally cute! Someday, during my dream beach wedding, I’ll be rockin’ these! Me and my hubby!

That’s a big yes from me, too. Of course, heels like much sexier but if you’re wearing them and limping or walking like you are in pain because your feet hurt, you’ll never appear sexy. Feeling comfy and being able to do good should be the new sexy!

I LOVE Toms! They are so comfortable, and it’s such a great cause. I think this is a great idea on their part. Not sure if I would do my WHOLE wedding party, but the black men’s shoes honestly wouldn’t look much different from regular shoes unless you were giving them an up close inspection. I might outfit my whole party in them, but for pictures and such maybe wear different shoes.

Absolutely. If I wear a white dress, I want to rock some bright yellow or bright green shoes under my dress. No high heels though. No way.

I love Toms and the company’s mission, BUT I do not find their shoes adorable or cute in the least bit. They are comfortable indeed. They are well made. But the price for CANVAS shoes is ridiculous. Now, I admit, I will spend lots of money on clothes and products that are well made with expensive materials. Canvas is not expensive at all. My belief that the shoes are expensive is because they donate a pair for every pair bought. You are basically paying for 2 shoes so they can afford to give one away. And they are STILL making a profit. Am I the only one who sees flaws in this company??
And now, would I wear them to my wedding? No. 1) I like heels because they make my flat feet feel better and they give me extra height 2) I want something more chic, and it does not have to cost a fortune.

I don’t like the design of the shoe and personally on my big day I’m not going to be rocking a floor length gown, I prefure a cocktail dress of somesort. But If I would be wearing the big frilly gown you bet I would be wearing these! They are comfy and for a great cause, it would certainly make-up a little for many women who are bridzillas and extra greedy on their wedding day.

Absolutely! I have 2 pair now & I love them! I’ve been thinking about having a charitable theme to my wedding anyhow, this would be perfect & a great gift to the bridal party!

no, absolutely not. they’re not cute or pretty at all! if there was a charity like this that sold heels or anything remotely elegant, then yes, without a doubt. I don’t care if my shoes will probably be covered by my dress, at some point, you’re going to see my feet (like during the whole garter thing) and I want my shoes to at least match the gown in elegance. Plus, I’m short as it is, so, I think wearing shoes that give me some height will do wonders for me when I’m wearing such a long dress.
I would however wear these with jeans or something like casual like that.

I will admit, they aren’t really worth the price… but hell, they are COMFY! Plus, I’m ridiculously clumsy, so wearing TOMS on my wedding day (whenever that is) would prevent about 98% of my tripping about the place.
