Who IS Samantha Ronson, Anyway?

For those of you who don’t hang from every typed word of the gossip magazine and blogs, here is a little tutorial on Lindsay Lohan’s best friend/rumored girlfriend, Sam Ronson.

• LOVES: Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson have been gallivanting together for a few years now, but they’ve been rumored to be in a relationship since before Lindsay went to rehab. Since leaving rehab, Lindsay and Sam have taken their love public over the last four months, though they haven’t explicitly acknowledged that they’re a couple. But, I mean, it’s obvi. And we think they’re ADORABLE!
• FAMILY: Mom is writer/socialite Anne Dexter-Jones and dad is one-time band manager and real estate entrepreneur Laurence Ronson. They divorced a long time ago and Anne remarried Mick Jones of Foreigner, with whom she has two children Alexander and Annabelle. Dexter-Jones and Ronson also have Samantha’s twin Charlotte, who has her own fashion line, and DJ/Producer Mark, who worked on Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse’s groundbreaking albums.
• FRIENDS: It sort of seems like lately Lindsay and Sam only hang out with each other, and each other’s siblings, but Sam is also buddies with fellow DJ Steve Aoki, rapper Eve, and fellow boho couple Joel Madden and Nicole Richie.
• LITTLE KNOWN FACTS: Samantha and Charlotte used to model; they were raised in Conservative Judaism; Ronson was co-owner of the New York City nightclub The Plumm; Sam recorded an album, RED, but it was never released, through certain songs were available on her MySpace.
