When Does Bedhead Hair Just Turn Into Messy?

Blake LIvely

What do you think, is Blake Lively rocking a sexy bedhead look or has it veered into messy, frizzball hair territory? Have to say, her put-together look and makeup make me think it’s just bedhead-y—but she comes very close. What do you think? After the jump, a bunch of questions to ask yourself before leaving the house with a “bedhead” look.

  • Does your hair have frizzy body (as opposed to the body you get from a blow-dry)?
  • Is the hair at the nape of your neck (your “underhair”) limp and stringy?
  • Is there any grease at the crown of your head?
  • Would your hair look cleaner/better/cooler in a sleek bun?
  • Is your hair very full at the bottom and nearly shellacked to your head at the scalp?
  • Are you wearing slouchy, super-casual clothes?

If the answer to anymore than two questions is “yes,” it’s time to jump in the shower. Sorry!

Did someone slip Valium into my tea this morning cuz I think her hair looks fine.  If that is bedhead-y, then I must look like I just survived a hurricane after only spending *gasp* 30 minutes to get ready this morning.

Am I having a whack attack? Her hair is beautiful. Looking overly done is so unsexy. She looks like she’s too fun and gorgeous and fabulous to care if her hair is pulled into a severe bun.

I wish my hair looked half that good first thing after rolling out of bed!

...aaaand I’m sure she simply rolled out of bed to achieve that look.

Yeah….this doesn’t look bedheady at all, this is what I would think most women try to achieve in the morning. What am I missing??

My bedhead consists of a cowlick the size of the one Alfafa sports in the Our Gang films.

Bedhead looks good when it isn’t actually how your hair looks when you first get up, but when it’s styled to look like a prettier version of tangles and large fuzzy clumps.

I have to shampoo, blow dry, straighten, and product my hair up to make it look like that. My version of put together.

My hair is naturally frizzy—even with product, it’s then just frizzy and greasy, and a flat iron still doesn’t get it all out…I wish my hair looked this good naturally.  Jeez, just when I thought I had a semi-decent shot at good hair, you gotta raise the standard! crap, story of my life!:)
