What Should Barack Obama Wear To The Inaugural Ball?
We’ve already seen major designers’ sketches showing what they think Michelle Obama should wear to the Inaugural Ball, but we can’t forget the man of the hour and his wardrobe choices, now can we? WWD asked a handful of menswear designers for Inauguration Day and Night outfits for Barack Obama, who will certainly look dapper in whatever he chooses—after all, he’s been on more magazine covers than most supermodels. Above, a few of our favorite options. [WWD]
1. Marc Jacobs
2. Kenneth Cole
3. Sean John
4. Dsquared
5. Turnbull and Asser
6. Duckie Brown

I LOVE a white tux jacket! But I think he’s gotta wear a couture brand. And seriously, what is Kenneth Cole thinking going casual?!

Number one is totally my favorite—it is a little indie rocker goes to the Oscars, but I love it. Barack can pull off a skinny pant.

I really like the Sean John tux, but I think Barack will look out of place in a white jacket, so I go for the Marc Jacobs.

I definitely go for the Marc Jacobs, its classic but chic and cool at the same time. The white Jacket on number 3 will make him look like one of the Temptations. I hope he doesnt wear that…

I like the Sean John tux. BO can do well to stand out in a sea of nearly identical black tuxes. He can pull off a striking look.
Humble Bee, I don’t think he’ll look like one of the Tempts unless he’s got 4 other guys dressed identically with him… =)
