Victoria’s Secret Model Finally Admits To Not Magically Losing Baby Weight

Alessandra Amvrosia

Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosia walked in the VS fashion show four months after giving birth to her first child. And she looked the sort of good that inspires teenage boys everywhere to steal mommy’s catalog for, well, personal use. Given that most women complain endlessly about the difficulty of losing baby weight coupled with the fact that Ambrosia is clearly already genetically blessed, her claim that all she did was yoga once a week was a bit painful to hear.

Well, women everywhere are now vindicated: Ambrosia has fessed up to actually doing some work to get back into ridiculous shape. Not only did she tell People.com that she had to do a lot of cardio to shed the jiggle, she also admitted that she stuck to a very healthy meal plan that included “like no sugar, no bread” after her daughter Anja Louise was born in August ‘08. Once-a-week yoga, my ass! We know it’s not nice to delight in someone else’s dieting, but come on, she had this one coming. [People]

She might have just said that to appease some women, unfortunately there are some women who don’t have to do much to lose weight, and the majority of us who struggle to maintain ours, hate to hear about them, but they exist.  My sister never wore maternity clothes when she got preggers, she gained about 30 pounds and within a month and half she was actually skinner than before she got pregnant and she did not exercise (never has) or eat healthy (never does that either), the bitch (love you sissy!) is just skinny! Before she got pregnant she was a size 4, by the time my niece was 2 months old she had to go shopping, because she had dropped to a size 2.  She did breastfeed, so that helped a little bit, but she does not exercise at all, while I have to workout 5 days a week to fit into my pants and an Oreo means sweatpants for me! I’m pretty sure I stole all the fat kid genes in the womb, so when she came along there were none left for her. Life is just not fair sometimes…

All very well, with lots and lots of help some lucky women lose the wobbles…but how do they get rid of stretchmarks…they can’t all be genetically gifted in that department too?

@moogyboobles: nope, that’s called Photoshop.

@bethlynn: your post made me CRACK UP as I am a skinny (gym hating, milkshake loving) bitch myself, and you sound so much like my more normal-sized roommate.

  For the stretch marks I would say they either had laser procedures, applied scar cream, body make-up or never got them. Apparently 10% of pregnant women don’t get them. I also talked to a woman who hadn’t had any stretchmarks until the very end of her pregnancy and it was a giant one on the underside of her belly. But when she lost the baby weight she also lost that giant stretch mark.

@moogyboobies: See my sister did get stretch marks on her ass (sweet!LOL), but she uses lots of cocoa butter and Mederma, to help with reducing the appearance of stretch marks, not preventing though or getting rid of them, cause you can still see them a little bit. I’m not sure, that is the question a lot of celebrity moms could answer, but like LilMissSunshine said, I think it might be a lot of body makeup and laser work.

A good friend of mine is an easy to hate, type “A” exercise nut, who ran a mini marathon when she was pregnant. Ten days after the baby came you would have never known she was even pregnant aside from her increased breast size and a painful looking gait. The beautiful little boy is either going to be the next Superman or a totally worthless lazy couch potato. Side notes: A) She never cut her hair. B) She’s unmarried - the daddy is a test tube.

I love her a bunch but I also hate her perfect little butt.

She is to be complimented for her determination and discipline.  She does truly look magnificent, a fine example of the human spirit!  Women can do it!
