A Shot At Love‘s Tila Tequila says Shawne Merriman, linebacker for the San Diego Chargers, allegedly choked and restrained her while she tried to leave his house. After Tequila called 911, Merriman went to jail while she went to the hospital. Merriman’s rep told TMZ Ms. Tequila allegedly drank a few too many and he was trying to keep her from driving; she Tweeted that she’s allergic to alcohol so that’s b.s. Lubna Al-Hussein, the Sudanese journalist who worked for the United Nations and faced 40 lashes for wearing pants in public, has been spared the whipping and received a fine of $209 instead. Her lawyer said she will continue to challenge Sudan’s “decency law” and not pay the fine. [CNN]

Patricia Mauceri, an actress on “One Life To Live,” says she was fired from the soap opera after she objected to a gay-friendly storyline. Mauceri’s character, Carlotta Vega, was supposed to confront homosexuality somehow in an upcoming plot. Mauceri alleges that as a devout Christian, she objected to the plotline. I think something sounds off from the story, too. I read another article that says authorities claim she was intoxicated, too. And her Wikipedia page says that she got the name from experimenting from alcohol at 13. Not saying these are reliable sources or that she’s lying, but I don’t think we have the whole story here, either.

Three side to ever story right? Yours, theirs and the truth.

Whatever happened will come out eventually, but I think that regardless of what happened, Merriman’s conduct and his cooperation with the authorities isn’t the conduct of a man who has something to hide.

Merriman is a roidhead - he was suspended just 2 years ago for doing steroids. But then Ms. Tequila doesnt seem to be the most honest tea in the brewery. Also… her last name is Tequila? And she’s alergic to alcohol? WOW

@Squidtermz: There’s a decent bashing of her story on HollywoodGrind.com. I don’t think he’s any prize, but I think it’s more likely than not that she was lying in this case.
